Christmas Schedule

Recommended Posts

Basically I've been observing a lot anger, disunity and fragility in this community as of late. It's fine to let out a bit of anger for pet peeves we have of each other.
Why does Irishchamp constantly say he's getting rid of his PC forever to focus on his social life/school, then re-appear in a fortnights time? Why did a talented young gamer like stiqqy waste away the last year on a role playing server? Why are jaydog and storm in a gaming community when they don't own computers?

When such anger gets too personal though, when certain individuals are repeatedly targeted, when groups start forming which dislike each other, not good guys. We need a nice Christmas to really bring OB back together and have fun gaming - what we're formed on! If you're one of these weird guys who literally doesn't game anymore, but insists on hanging around here, please could you close this thread?

Being the nice guy I am, I have compiled a schedule to abide by. Note this isn't an event - you're expected to attend most of these days as a compulsory concept, one or two missed is fine. But if you're a blue member+ then you should really commit.

3rd Dec - 15th Dec = Work hard. As you work think about that lovely holiday period ahead. Working hard will ensure you don't feel guilty about gaming too.

15th Dec - Gather what IRL friends you have, go to your local cinema and watch the new Star Wars. Have some drinks after if you like, but the aim is to get back ASAP to discuss on TS with the boys, I think this will be a great bonding session to kick off the festive period.

16th Dec - This day is when the holiday really starts, an all day marathon of counter-strike. (Pick up snacks while you're out of the house on the 15th btw, you won't be leaving the house much more in the coming weeks)

17th Dec - Another marathon of CS. (MM, Minigames, French PB servers, gathers etc - you know the usual stuff)

18th-21st Dec - I'm on holiday. Use this time to recover from the cs marathons, I know some of you get a bit weird about playing too much cs. It'd be really nice if you guys came together and played some stuff in this time, though.

22nd Dec - Today we all try a game together which none of us have ever played before. To be agreed on by poll closer to the specified date.

23rd Dec - PUBG Tournament, everyone throws in £5 each. Sorted into teams of 4, obviously. Whoever can win the most squad games from 00.00-23.59 on 23rd Dec wins all the cash (Europe, First Person Only)

24th Dec - Morning+Afternoon we chill on TS talking about how the week is going, few pints, few pizzas. Evening please spend some time with your family to avoid interruptions in future days.

25th Dec - Christmas day. Presents open, lunch eaten. Then it's just a competition of who can stay off the PC the longest. We all like to pretend we don't wanna go on our PC's on Christmas day, but I know everyone is itching HARD. I've seen poor excuses of 'just going on to freekill the guys who are playing JB' to get in some cheeky gaming time. I'm down for a few mixes in offline mode, msg me on whatsapp on the day. Alternatively if many guys are on we can play some more inclusive stuff.

26th Dec - OSRS. This is a must. You have to give it a try. Adventure time around lumbridge.

27th Dec - Repeat for League of Legends. You may hate me by now, but we have to please everyone.

28th Dec - Back to CS all day (thank god)

29th Dec - PUBG Tournament V2 -> (shot for every game lost??)

30th Dec - Use this day to have some time apart. Play whatever games you like.

31st Dec - 24 hour gaming session. I know this sounds cringe but it'd be pretty fun if we were all on at midnight playing a sick gather, especially after a good few weeks getting to know each other properly. This could really save OB.

1st Jan-> To be added much closer to date, to see what's working.

For real I miss you guys.

I hope this post comes from sincerity because all those mini events sound great.

I'm just in a rut where I can't find the effort of booting up my PC after work.

(Get a govener of poker in there)

I mean okay this happened once but I genuinely haven't been on my computer since August and I won't be back on it until June/July. It's gathering dust my very large wardrobe.

i completely agree this is an incredible idea, also would a ts watch of the first star wars be a good idea?

I'd be down for some of this, I don't own or play some of the games but I'll join in where I can if it's not a bother.

24 hour gaming session seems a bit extreme, though saying that I've done it a few times. Any games planned for that, or is it just random games? Or a 24 hour teamspeak session? I'm intrigued to give it a go.
