I understand what you are saying, yeah alot of the character mechanics do come from MOBAs but im not so much talking about character mechanics im talking about character design. A dwarf guy who shoots lava and can build turrets...like, thats not just "a standard moba" thing, that is someone copying someone elses idea. A big guy in Armour, looks kinda like a knight with a big rectangular blue shield, that other guy who looks like they just mashed Mcree and Reaper together. 
Even to someone who hasn't played that many video games, you can show them battlefield and you can show them COD and they will see a difference. Also with military shooters, especially those set in the modern day, there can only be so much variation because you can't just invent stupid made up shit to put in your game, its gotta be realistic.  
With this kinda of new "hero shooter/brawler" genre which is emerging, see Smite/Overwatch/Battleborn/Lawbreakers/Paladins whatever, none of them are grounded in reality, that means you technically have total freedom to make whatever kind of new and interesting character you want so long as its balanced, thats what people want. imo you cant really say (for example) look, CS and Insurgency both use AK-47s and M4's in their game and they have settings in the desert so that makes similar therefore the similarities between OW and Paladins are fine because its the same genre. Like, no...CS and Insurgency have to put those things in their game otherwise it would totally break the setting they were going for. The Paladin devs (or Overwatch) could literally draw up any character design they wanted and come up with a bunch of crazy abilities no one has seen before and it would work, because their setting is all these fucking crazy heroes coming together to battle. There is literally no fucking excuse as to why these games are as similar as they are.       

So with the new update came new sounds (ofcourse new glitches aswell like fucking double jumping, end me)

So, this week pretty much marks my fourth year since I joined OB and each year when this time comes around I like to think what kind of situations or interesting things have happend in OB since the last year. Changing in owners, VAC gossip, cyber relationships, le epic trolls, new servers, Mods/admins who go off the rails....alot can happen in a year and OB does look slightly different every August imo. But then I was thinking, instead of looking back, why not look forward...what is OB gonna look like in August 2017???  Here are my thoughts:
 
Chris Lord admits he got something wrong, him saying "I guess I was wrong then" gets soundboarded and becomes the hottest meme of 2017. Jame and Venga are finally given an official HR section on the forums and a channel in TS where they can deal with most of the community's personal grievances giving Unseen a chance to concentrate on being owner.   Unseen did the deed (assassinated Conor in his sleep, took control of OB)  At a meetup in Essex Mintlou and Jaydog finally confess their deep seated love for each other, get it on, 3 months later have a truck themed wedding, its very nice but no one goes... Babbymonkey returns after many years, expecting most to have forgotten who he is, unfourtunatly this isnt the case and he doesn't stay long as every post he makes on the forums is quoted and replied with                    ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ RIOT ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ Brandon becomes one of the first OB mods to die on duty, doctors believe he had a stroke that killed him instantly, some say this was a direct result of someone changing their name to "Brandumb" during a gather.  All CS gathers are played exclusively on CSS just like the good old days, this is due to CSGO being ported to Source 2 during 2017 which came with the following "improvements": Sprinting, a perk system, grenade launchers and space battles. Biggles heads the "Close Minigames 2017" petition.  Lewis leaves OB to pursue his CS pro career under the name "The Rutland Monster" but is later banned from all CS major tournaments by valve for his repeated typing of "nice eco team" "oops wrong chat" during all his matches.  What else do you guys think could happen to OB in 2017?

so ive was join the Jailbreak server late at the night arround 2-3 am. and i was ct i askt evryone if i could trust them all and they replyed with yes. so i told them all to go into armory and get some guns. so now that they had guns i started to command normaly but they all had guns and nades. so while we was going arround they where shooting so much. and i created a new game that it was a 3v3 fotball. they all needed to stand inside the goal and shoot the ball to kill the other team, was funny. after that i askt if they could line up for me so i could take a screenshot. and they all agreed, so when we came so far as i should take this screenshot they went crazy and i tok some attempts to take it bcs they where mentaly broke and killed me :)

i would say this is some nice pictures and i want to try this as an day time picture aswell, like try to get 24 mby 25 t's to line up with guns and the ct's infront would be fun if we could try that out :)

After our first day of "Partying" we had two really relaxed days of just hanging around on the OB servers:

Right now, on our 4th day, we headed to my parents' house and watched a movie.

Then we had dinner with them.

Then on our way back, the Norwegian richkid decided to make someone's day and gave over 20 bucks and a bottle of water to this artist. He was genuinely happy.

Not gonna sugar coat it, wasn't really a great event. Really stale idea (which would've been fine if you guys had put a special spin on it) but it disappointed.

My first OB intro was depressing as fuck (please don't go looking for it) so I decided to make a new one! YEY!

I mainly enjoy playing FPS games like CS:GO and that's about it since my cabbage PC can't handle better looking games. Other genres include singleplayer games with a good story, open world games like GTA, survival games like Hurtworld and Rust and anything that catches my interest really (i'm very picky when it comes to games). Used to be a huge CoD fanboy until Black Ops 2 but then every CoD after that was just bollocks and I completely lost interest in the franchise. Totally looking forward to Infinite Warfare though. kappa
I enjoy listening to music and watching a wide variety of movies from shitty love stories, to horror movies, to action, to fiction all the way down to anime. Maybe apart from the last one. I don't understand anime ._.
I have been a Moderator of OB for about a year and it has been an almighty journey that I hope will never end. I met a lot of new and amazing people here who I couldn't imagine my Internet life without. And some complete shitkids which made me completely lose faith in humanity but let's not dig that deep...
I am very fascinated with technology. Just love learning new things about PC stuff like the hardware, software, how they are made etc.
