I can see where Gaffer is coming from, quite a few people in this thread obviously are down for some of these suggestions, so that is already quite a few people off the bat. But how long is this exactly going to last? A few days? Couple of weeks?
I have to agree with Finnley here. These game modes are ones where people join up, warm up for a comp, play some music and leave. I very much doubt there will be any care for the community that is actually running said servers from the people who join.
Game modes like JB actually make people talk to each other, get to know the staff team and members and ropes them in to the forums and ts to keep them around longer. Almost all of the people sitting on TS of a night are from one of our previous Jailbreak servers. What the staff team are trying to think of is something new and exciting for everyone, new and old, that people will play for a lengthy amount of time and encourages people to interact with each other, resulting in new members. Of course the hardest bit is finding something that the majority of people sitting in TS right now would want to play.

tl;dr we need a game mode that can encourage people to interact and rope them in to forums/ts. Make being a member worth something.

While Jailbreak is being reworked, I think Outbreak should have another server temporarily which can be used as a test to see if it will be populated and if it can bring people into the community. It might be able to stick around as a new server if it is popular enough. These ideas could be much easier to set up than Jailbreak, making them better for a temporary server to test the popularity. Even if the server isn't populated by random players, it could still be something for the community to play.
Community servers within CS, such as Jailbreak, Surf or Minigames, are not as popular as they used to be, but servers which people use to warmup on are still very popular, like Deathmatch, Retakes and Arenas. People still play CS and as long as they do, they will most likely need some server to warmup on.
A major factor which stops these servers from being created is that they do not bring new people into the community. People will go onto a Deathmatch server, warmup and then leave. However, I think that if people were to come onto, for example, a 1v1 Arena server, and see that lots of players are wearing the Outbreak Member tag, they would be more inclined to look into joining the community, especially if the members are talking on the server and making it enjoyable for everyone.
There has been many times when I have been playing on a retake or 1v1 server with my good friends from Outbreak and it would only be better if the rest of the players on these servers were other people from Outbreak too.

These are the ideas that I think could be used:
1v1 Arenas - People face a single opponent and proceed to the next arena or fall into the previous one depending on if they win or lose. This could be a good idea for a temporary server as it is not as competitive as a Retake, it is slower paced, and people can play on it for extended periods of time if there is a wide variety of maps. I have also seen people on 1v1 servers having nice conversations even when there is 30+ people on it. For example, if someone were to come onto an Outbreak 1v1 server and hear people having a nice conversation, they would be more inclined to want to be a part of the community themselves. Moderators would have to be around often to prevent the voice chat from getting too out of control and to keep the server enjoyable. Another feature that could be added to a 1v1 Arena server is a leaderboard, just like the one on Minigames. Players would gain and lose points for getting kills or dying. At the end of the week, some of the top players for that week could be awarded credits or some other kind of prize.
Retakes - The round starts as the terrorists plant the bomb and the counter-terrorists have to retake the site and defuse. I personally enjoy playing Retakes as there are different types of players that you can find on Retake servers. Some people take it more seriously and give callouts to act as if they were playing a comp, while others just play for fun and to meet new people. I even have a video of me and someone I met on retake just playing and having fun, so this can definitely be a server which could bring new players into the community.
Community Aim Maps - This would be a large aim map with 2 teams, up to 12 or 16 players, with people being able to use a menu to pick which rifle they want to use. As for the respawning system, there are 2 ways in which it could go: Unlimited respawns, until the timer runs down. This might make it harder for people to communicate as there will be lots of people fighting eachother all the time. This could be overcome by having a round system with 1 life each, so people could talk in dead chat and there wouldn't be bullets flying constantly. After looking into servers like these I found that both unlimited respawns and one life are used.

    *map $2000$_csgo
Team Deathmatch - This idea isn't like the typical Valve Deathmatch. This would be played on a custom map, with all players having 1 life and spawning together, so both teams can fight in the middle of the map every round. I know that there were games like this on our Minigames server, the "War" game was just like this. With a variety of different maps, this game mode could be enjoyable and can encourage communication between all players, members and randoms.

    *Pistol gamemode from map mg_swag_multigames_v7
Random Weapon FFA - Obviously, this idea would be a free-for-all. A random weapon is decided at the beginning of the round and all players are given it and dropped into a relatively small map. This gamemode would much resemble the mg_weapon_case_arenas map that was on our Minigames server, except all players will be against eachother. This also would not be extremely fast paced like a normal Deathmatch, players would slow walk around in order to win while others in dead chat could use that time to talk.
Hunger Games/Battle Royale - This gamemode spawns all players around the edge of a map, with random weapons placed throughout the map, and the weapons get better as you get closer to the centre of the map. Every couple of minutes the map gets smaller and smaller, eventually pushing the remaining players to the middle. From my experience, most players on Hunger Games servers talk to eachother while they play. A leaderboard could also be implemented into this, showing how many times people have won or how many kills they have.

To be honest, I came into this community because I saw people on the servers who I thought were funny and the kind of people I'd get along with. I like this community, and I enjoyed playing on Jailbreak and Minigames with people within it even when these servers started to die. I would like to play on a server filled with people from OB again, and these are just some suggestions which haven't been tried out before.

Please let me know what you think of each of the ideas and give reasons for why you agree/disagree.

    Hey guys,
I've briefly mentioned that I was working on a new Landing page before and after many "behind the scenes" memes and months it's finally live!
I have only been able to work on it in my spare time which is why this project ended up taking months. I learnt a lot from this project and taught myself new stuff along the way. I have also been working on a video which probably took more time than the actual webpage.
    Landing Page: https://outbreak-community.com
    Video:
If you haven't already, please subscribe to the Outbreak Youtube channel for more cool videos in the future.
Anyway, I hope you guys like the design and feel of the landing page and enjoy watching the video. I also recommend trying out the page on your phone as it is fully responsive and looks cooler on there.
Thanks to Conor for helping out with some design advice too.

Roughly how long have you been playing our server(s)?
I first found the OB JB server around late 2015 early 2016 but i was named differently  and was kinda on and off within the community but way more active now
What qualities can you bring to Outbreak?
Personally I think that i can bring some laughs whether that be in game or just chilling out, although I do get competitive in ranked stuff i try to keep an open mind (unless I'm tired/pissy then i just get tilted and rage silently)
Tell us a little something about yourself: Although i grew up in London for most of my life i have lived in different countries such as Italy, France, Bosnia and Croatia. My family is originally from Italy and Bosnia hence why i lived the for a while (is my guess was kinda young when this happened)
    Is this your first post?
No, i used to have more posts uploaded but for some reason when relinking my steam account to my forums account (to get my proper ingame name) my posts and rep had been reset (thought i'd mention that since I'm not completely inactive on forums). Even though my forum posts were deleted along with my account, i still try and post where i feel like i can contribute.
Have you been around for less than 2 weeks (this includes Teamspeak and forums)?
    Naahhhhhh

Time to make this thread live again, or atleast try to, just got a win on a NA server solo, I just wanted to see the difference in servers and ended up with a win smh. (Rip EU ranking, was probably gonna go up by 10k). Was rocking a silenced close-mid range sks. Also last guy somehow just died to the zone.

Also share your opinions on the new update, I personally get more fps running on lower graphics now, but when I go for higher ones it is sort of the same, also VSS is a meme weapon.

Since my old one got deleted while relinking my steam account i thought i'd make another one,
Most people know me as Akame (I dunno why the trademark is in my name don't ask) i used to have some posts on here before all of it got deleted for some reason, when JB wasn't dead i used to play it quite a bit and since it has died down i usually just chill in the teamspeak with cucks such as @JME@Skill and other cuckolds which i'm too lazy to tag.
Some people know me but most others might not so i thought i'd make a less than formal introduction to, well, introduce myself i guess. I'm also part taking in the ESL Summer in a week which i hope we can get far in and possibly win.
Like i said in the beginning this is more of a reintroduction than an intro so i have been here for a while even if i was unnoticed.

Petition to remove Dust 2 from the map pool as it is not active duty. Having 8 maps in the pool is also pretty stupid as the pick/ban phase will be unfair for one of the teams.

Lets be honest, Dust 2 is only in there because its Lewis's best map anyways.

I hate people that decide to have a conversation on a stair case and don't let people pass, making it awkward for anyone else, as you sit there wondering what went wrong with your life a thought occurs upon you, you can just push one of them with a big smile of personal satisfaction and gratification, as you watch the person break their neck you realise what you have done, you gave into your urges and now you are going to jail, as you rethink your life choices in the cell you remember that there was something better that could have been done to avoid this situation, you could have just asked to pass, with that thought going through your head you grab a rope from your cell, go on a chair and decide to end it all.
