    I'm genuinely confused by this "Admin Complaint", from my point of view it just seems very petty and there is no actual substance to this complaint. One of the biggest glaring issues with this request is that there is no actual evidence to look over... As mentioned in Evidence for Demos [READ BEFORE POSTING] and as there is no actual evidence I can't judge for myself the said incident.

    After speaking to Lewis, he said he actually did "leak a few game sounds". But it doesn't seem like a massive issue to me, if anything, a slight annoyance. But I'd class it on on the same level as using a soundboard every now and then, or have a slightly bad mic, or any other background noises that happen, we simply aren't going to go around warning everyone for every little annoyance. We aren't some draconian community, if we were, Keiji and his dogs would be gone first.

    If it was becoming a big issue for you and even after you had asked him to stop, he didn't, why didn't you just bring it up to Frostie? Who was in the TS room with you, at least he is in your "Evidence Pic". I spoke to Frostie but as he was actually playing on the Minigames server and trying to get the server populated, he said he wasn't paying too much attention to TS but if you had poked him he could've paid a few minutes attention and tried to resolve the issue.

    I've also noticed that you tagged the thread with "trollmodchoice" for me this just makes this thread look more of a petty and vindictive for little to no reason. This makes the whole complaint seem like a troll that you don't actually care about what happen just post something to try and make someone look bad as well as cause needless drama. We don't want to deal with troll request and will punish anyone that makes them.

    I am going to repeat and expand something that Lewis said, for future reference. This section is more for matters beyond your control, for instance: if an admin is abusing his power on the server, kicking people from teamspeak without reason, giving unwarranted bans on teamspeak or hiding threads without reason on the forums. If you submit a request please submit it with actual evidence, like videos or audio. 

    Unless you have any actual evidence, this "Admin Complaint" will be closed.

    I would also suggest not making requests like this over seemingly small issues, if this is something that you start doing against others it is highly likely that the same is going to end up happening to yourself and as you happen to use soundboards more than often others, this is likely going to end up causing more issues for you.

    Coming Friday the 5th of October, Outbreak will be opening a new Minigames server. If you want to get involved in the opening, sign up below. The Sign up list is to reserve your place should the server end up being full.

     

     

     

    The server grand opening should start at 6:30pm and once everyone that has reserved their place has got in the server it'll then be opened to everyone on the next map change. 

    The current setup for Minigames is going to be more focus towards maps rather than plugins and will evolve over time with player suggestions.

    If you have any other ideas or suggestions for things you'd like to see Outbreak do, such as other servers, games, events etc...

    These type of servers are possible, Think there's a plugin for a Multi-gamemode server that changes settings based upon map name although they never seem to actually work out. The average player is more likely to just play a server that has the dedicated gamemode they actually want to play, I've only seen these type of server usually work when a really large community that opens them for just their player rather than to get players. 

    Skill surf I don't think would ever really work for us, Bigger Servers has that shit locked down. They usually have multiple servers with skill ranks and ranking system which works really well, for me it has always felt like more a competitive mode where people want to beat their times.

    Outbreak's best quality is its *special personality* and any server where you don't need to be involved chatting to other players, where just voice_enable 0 and play music or just chat on ts just doesn't really work and when a new server comes out we'll populate it for a time since its a new server but most people seem to get bored of it very easily. 

    Personally would like to try out something we've never done before, something that you need to be engaged in that you engage with another player.  The Big games of 2018 haven't really had the ability to make community servers. Games like;  

    • PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
    • Fortnite Battle Royale.
    • Overwatch.
    • Quake Champions.
    • Rocket League.

    For events, I'd like to see more "Game Nights" Organise with a few people to play a game at a certain time/day and just create a thread to open invite should anyone want to join e.g. Golf IT, Hearts of Iron, AOE, GTA etc... I think these might get more people involved if you do an open invite to people and as they don't need server/setup or even much organisation they can be done by the community a lot easier.

    Chatbox Rules

    1. No abuse. Targeted abuse/bullying will not be tolerated, especially over ethnicity, sex and belief. Racial slurs of any kind are an absolute no.
    2. No Screamers, No 18+, No NSFW. Keep personal content to threads/PM's, Moderators have the final say on a link.
    3. No spamming. If you're making it difficult for people to use the chatbox or obscuring actual messages this counts as spamming.
    4. No ban evading via alternate accounts or VPN
    5. No spoilers of any kind.
    6. Shoutbox moderators get the final say on the content allowed in the chatbox and how they moderate it. Attempting to E-Lawyer around the rules will result in a harsher ban.

    Also Senior Mod role has been retired because of our currently smaller team, with that both Frostie and Kai have been promoted up to Admin role. With the Server if there is anything you'd like to be throw up to try and test it out we'll try to accommodate but it gonna require support from the community specially if you want get it up fast.

    P.S Wist mentioned this to be before thought I'd bring it up but if something goes missing of the forums such as the legend at the bottom and it's not added please ASK about it or just mention to me so actually give you an explanation. I didn't even know the legend wasn't there as it was meant to be...

    The Plan going forward:

    • OB Server's
      • Try to throw up a server a month for different game and try out game we haven't done before.
      • Try simpler server ideas that don't require much set up to get up and running.
    • Community Game Nights
      • Try out doing organised game nights. 
      • Although this would need to be helped by Members with either suggested or help organising.

    So our current plan is about trying out new things and should something develop into OB's next big thing capitalise on it. Not everything we try out we may like or may even work for us but we can at least say we've tried it out.

    Financially OB total costs have been lowered significantly, should we end up moving to discord we'll only have to pay for Website Stuff, should we stay on Teamspeak we'll look for funding from our community maybe integrating a donation panel on the side of the forums where everyone can see what we need for our monthly costs.

    I'd say most people stay with OB because they enjoy the regulars that our on most nights, you can just join TS play some games with friends or just chill and talk shit for hours. So long as our community is inclusive and welcomes anyone it gives people reason to stay and get to know each other. We'll try out new things as we go along maybe that we can make special in our OB way.

    Just created a Discord thread for all important information and rules should get an idea on most of the stuff we have on it if you haven't been on it yet. Next we'll be doing a vote to pick which VOIP we end up going to which should be coming some time next week.

    Probably if we ever find a weird game that works for us to actually make a server on it though its finding that something special. At the same time at the moment were a Gaming Community where people come on to play various of other games whatever peaks our interests which I honestly don't really mind too much, I've been playing ton's of borderlands with Cheesy recently gonna play Pre sequel on Monday if anyone wants to join.

    Is the website slower to load these days? It takes me a good 3-5 seconds to get the page up initially and another similar amount of time to get through the splash page. 

    Not having this problem with any other website and it's the same for both my phone and on PC.

    Landing page needs to be fixed, as people suggested if you just go straight to forums everything will load quicker.

    Outbreak Discord Rules

    Welcome to Outbreak Community!

    Our Discord has rules you must follow too, not abiding by them will get you kicked. Repeat offenders will receive harsh punishments. New players are joining our Discord every day and we would like to make it as welcoming as possible.

    • Absolutely no abuse. Targeted abuse/bullying will not be tolerated, especially over ethnicity, sex and belief.
    • No racism whatsoever. Racist words, names, descriptions or avatars are punishable.
    • No spamming chat, microphones or mentions.
    • No screamers or dodgy links of any kind which may contain harmful material.
    • No spamming soundboards in public channels. Soundboards are allowed in private channels. Gather rooms do not count.
    • No ban evading by joining with a different alias, using a VPN, or using another device to connect to Discord.
    • Do not join private channels unless you are invited. Ask someone in the channel before joining, do not join first and then ask if you can stay. Private channels include: Mix rooms, Fortnite rooms, and Battleground rooms.
    • No spoilers of any kind unless you are in a room where everyone agrees to discuss. Please be observant of new people joining the channel when talking.
    • Do not encourage others to break any of the rules.
    • Do not impersonate any other Discord users. This includes regulars. Staff are allowed to kick people from the server if they are using someone else's alias.
    • Do not attempt to loophole any rules, this could result in a ban or an extension on already existing bans.
    • Use #support-channel appropriately.  
    • Staff members have the final say on situations, any constant arguing with staff members over their decisions can result in an extended ban.

    These are very simple rules to follow. New players bear in mind that our Discord is a very 'free' place, you can talk about what you want whenever you want as long as you abide by the above!

    But most importantly, enjoy yourself.

    Important Information

    On Discord, starting from the top, we have 2 Text Channels: #announcements for announcements, it also has a copy of the Discord Rules and then the #support-channel which is where you can leave messages for the admin team such as reporting someone or if you need to be added to a Role you can post your request there.

    After that we have a Category for all of our chat rooms, we currently have 5 Public Channels #general, #media, #csgo, #moba and
    #bot-commands which by their names should be self explanatory if you need any guidance just look at the channel topic. We have have a few private channel depending on what role you have e.g. Members get access to a Members+ Chat.

     

    Outbreak Server Bot (Full CMD List Here)

    For all commands with this Bot start with a . for example .xp or .wheel 1.

    XP System and discipline 

    As explained in "Leveling" you will earn xp for typing in Discord text channels, this is not to be abused to boost you level, if you are found to be boosting your xp by spamming in chats then your will be reset back to level 1 and be restricted from gaining xp for a short period.

    If you require a role update (ie; Member, Donator, VIP) then please only post once in the support channel and a member of staff will give you your required role when he/she is online.

    Currency

    Currency is used through discord as a mini-game currency for users to be able to use our built in games to go head-to-head for each others currency or to gamble it away for the chance to earn more! The currency will also act as a points system with a leaderboard where everyone can check to see who is the richest player on Discord.

    .timely - Gives the user credits every 24 hours.
    .$ - Shows the user's credit balance.

    • .wheel [amount] - Bets the amount entered on a "wheel of fortune". User's entered amount gets doubled if they land on a 1 or above.
    • .slot [amount] - Bets the amount entered on a slot machine. 1 flower is x1, 2 flowers is x4, 3 flowers is 100x, and 3 of any other kind is 10x.
    • .bj [amount] - Bets the amount entered on blackjack. Available commands are: .hit, .stand, and .double, but there is no split command.
    • .race - Starts a race that people can join, up to 8 players.
    • .jr - Joins the race after it has been created in a channel.
    • .trivia - Starts a trivia that anyone can participate in, using ".[answer]". Questions will give some letters of the answer as a hint after a short time.
    • .tq - Stops the trivia after the current question has finished.
    • .acro - Starts an acronym game, to submit an answer the user only needs to type a sentence with the given acronym, no dot needed. Then players will vote on which is the best by simply typing the number of whichever answer they think is the best after 60 seconds, then the winner will be shown after 30 seconds.

     

    I Am Commands

    .iam [csgather/lolgather] - Adds the user to a group showing that they want to play a CS:GO or League of Legends gather.
    .iamn [csgather/lolgather] - Removes the user from the group once they have been added.

    Being added to these groups also allows the user to see and type in a CSGO or League of Legends gather text channel so they can talk with other people who want to play gathers.

     

    Rhythm (Full CMD List Here) 
    For all commands with this Bot start with a ! for example !play, This bot should be used when in NG1 Nightclub.

    !play [youtube playlist link] - Queues and plays the whole playlist.
    !search [song name] - Will list the 10 most relevant songs to the name or word entered, user can type one of the numbers to play that song.
    !leave - Stops the song and makes the bot leave.
    !stop (when song is playing) - Pauses the song.
    !play (when song is paused) - Resumes the song.
    !skip - Skips the current song and plays the next one in queue.
    !lyrics [song name and artist] - Posts the lyrics for the song which has been entered.
    !loopqueue - Loops the entire queue.
    !clear - Clears the queue.
    !removedupes - Removes any duplicates of songs in the queue.
    !shuffle - Randomizes the queue.
    !replay - Replays the current song.

    Using any of the top 3 !play commands will queue the song and it will play after the current one has finished.

     

    To make Discord easier whenever you join a voice channel you will be added to a role to view an text channel for the channel you are currently in, only people who are in the voice channel can see the text channel. The text history of these channels will also not stick around in the chat, this is essentially like Teamspeak where people are not able to see chat messages before they have joined the channel. It has also been set up so normal Admin role does not see your chat. 

    We recommend that you bot the following channels #bot-commands and #logs

    Firstly Kai doesn't have unlimited reactions... 

    Maximum number of reactions allowed to give per day:

    New Users - 0 (These are brand new accounts)
    Regulars - 3 (New Users are promoted to this after 4 posts)
    Donators - 10
    VIP - 13
    Members - 15
    Wardens - 18
    Moderators - 20
    Senior Moderators - 30

    Rather than reactions that do nothing but giving people a notification, What about a tiered system say Positive Reactions +3 The more Neutral Reactions a +1/2 and the Negative ones +1. 

    I would like to try out and bringing back negative reactions with a -1 but should they be abused again... and the Roaming gangs of people negative reactions just because they dislike the person it would be removed quite soon.

    Isn't that what you pretty much did? You posted your bit but left out the fact that out of the 3 mods that replied, 2 had detailed posts that disagreed with it on most of the points kinda misses most of the context.

    You said senior staff members didn't even reply to that thread, which is true, but you left out that I had spoken to you in your 1on1 about it which I gave my personal reasons on it, being that I felt for the most part Kai and Cheesepuff had already summed up everything for me and that I didn't want to say "x is not happening"/"y is not getting added" I wanted to see who replied and what they thought and anything else would be discussed in an admin meeting which it was... 

    It was even agreed that some of the things we discussed were to be added e.g. approving content/posts and view warning points. During the meeting it was said that there isn't much content that is actually reported, maybe a couple of posts a month. But from that point on, mods were to report any content they thought was necessary so we could get an actual idea of how mods can help out on the forums or if it was actually even needed. If it was, then we add it in the future.
