The Outbreak Warden Project
We are currently looking into creating a system where anyone Member+ can have a chance at creating and managing game servers for Outbreak.
This new role/rank is going to be called "Warden" it'll be separate from the admin team and it'll be under a new set of guidelines/rules(TBC)Anyone Member+ can apply for the role much like mod apps.
In the application form(TBC), they will give an idea for a server with hopefully a detailed plan and give any experience they have with said idea.
And if they are selected they will be given access to part of the Dedi to create a game server.It'll be their Job to manage the game server for Outbreak although they would not be fully part of the admin team and would have a separate section on the forums however it would be a role where they could be promoted into the admin team as a whole.
I personally want it kept separate from the admin team as I see a "Warden" at the start at least to only be responsible for their project.
However, I can see a successful "warden" being promoted into the admin team as a whole if they so want it, it would mean they would have more responsibilities outside of their managed server.The name was suggested to me by Chris, originally I was going to either call it OB Associate(I was watching Suits) or Server Builder or something along those lines. However when Chris suggested it felt weird yet I liked it. It embraces our origins as a JB server, it's easy to call someone the
Warden of *Game Sever* e.g. Warden of JB, Warden of MG, etc... also gets a few cheeky GOT memes in there for any true fans.I'm making this post to give the community an idea of what this is and some of my general ideas behind it before official creating it. It's also a chance for me to see if it's something that people actually want to do. Its still just an idea and nothing is set in stone so feel free to ask any questions!

Team Changes:
- IrishChamp replaced with Jgreg throughout the tournament.
After speaking to the captains IrishChamp will be fully replaced by Jgreg throughout the whole tournament. All of the captains agreed to the replacement if you have any issues with it see them as if anyone them had said no, I would not have of accepted him as a replacement.
- Hypnotized replaced with Liutvi Mestan for the Friday Night.
- DannyS has been promoted to captain for Team 5 to manage and communicate with his team.

General Infomation
- Sign up will be done via google forms (link above) If you need to changes or need to drop out of the tournament msg me directly this hopefully will it easier to manage.

Commitment, Please ensure you are available before signing up for this event. There will be no more than 3 games maximum per night which will be dated as soon as we confirm numbers. This is an OB event and failure to comply with event host expectations can result in punishments. A rough guide to the schedule is below;
Friday 18th: 18.30 BST - 22.30 BST
Saturday 19th: 18.30 BST - 22.30 BST
Sunday 20th: 18.30 BST - 22.30 BST
- Players will only participate for one team in the tournament.
- Players must use the account name that they register for the tournament with.
- Players must be able to participate in tournament draft and be at least level 20 to compete.
- On registering you will be asked to name your role preferences, fill this in seriously or you will not be allowed to compete in the tournament. Note that your preferences do not guarantee what role you will be placed in. The role choices are ADC/Support/Middle/Top/Jungle.
- Once the teams have been decided, I will then create a battlefy tournament much like the previous League tournament which should provide stats and give a more detailed schedule.
Team Management
- Each team will have 5 players. Players will be expected to be available and turn up for every game scheduled.
- Teams will be picked based on the sign-up list by selected captains prior to the event date, more information will be provided on captains in time.
- Captains will be responsible for organizing their team including roles, required screenshots and contacting hosts if assistance is required.
- Screenshots should be taken by captains of the pick & ban phase and the after game score screen. The system should automatically register results but screenshots are required in case of possible issues.
Tournament Layout
- Server: EUW
- Game Mode: Tournament Draft
- Map: Summoners Rift (5v5)
- More information will be added on tournament format depending upon the number of players competing.
Violation of Rules
- All players are expected to follow the rules, failure to follow the rules and respect staff members can result in disqualification among other repercussions.
- Usual OB Tournament rules apply.

The latest version of the forum software introduced many new features, one of the new features is an update to their reputation system adding "reactions" Currently I have installed the update and left everything on the default setting and not looked too much into what can be customized or what setting are available. Jailbreak, when popular didn't just sustain itself it made money that could be put into the community. And we kind are a type of business just a non-profit one much like your local hobby clubs (Not that many people in OB go outside) where its sustains and advances itself from the goodwill of people.

Hey Everyone!
I've wanted to make this post at the start of the month but I've recently been busy with work, my apprenticeship and learning to drive that I haven't had much time to do anything but enough about me. Outbreak's current future has been quite a hot topic and I wanted to give my thoughts on some of the subjects and hopefully get yours.
New Servers
Every time a new game comes out or something in OB gets plenty of players are interested in. Technically the first thing I'll check is can I actually create a community server after that some of the biggest things I look for are:
- What will make it an OB server?
When thinking about creating a new server I want it to be an OB server something special, to give it OB personality. How can OB make it fun and special to new and old players alike.
- Players
Does the server have a possibility of actually getting players? Is it popular in the community currently or is something we can get players over time.
- Members
Can the players be turned into members. Is there a reason for new players to return to our server? Is there any benefits we can get Members without ruining anything for new players.
- Monetization
Usually, this is just thinking about can the server be monetized to support OB. The OB coffers always need help and I want to be able to do special things for the community like tournaments that can back to people that may not play the main OB servers.
There are many more reasons that I look at or for but these are some of the main ones. At least for CS Outbreak has never really had too many people that can either create plugins or want to put the effort into creating them so we've always relied upon our Outbreaks personality rather than being a server that has a lot of technical magic.
Outbreak has only every been able to be the best with Jailbreak, added our own personality making it entertaining for players, giving them reasons to stay. Being able to get a player and convert players into members all while being able to fill the OB coffers. Minigames has always been number two to Jailbreak being super fun but never as successfully as Jailbreak but still being fun for a wider amount of OB members.
We could create a few extra servers like a retake or KZ but I personally don't think that outbreaks personality can help these type of servers. I feel we'd be opening a server that so a few people can play for a really small amount of time before moving on to a well-established server that has been doing that type of server for a while. Do people go to these servers to have a conversation with people?
Jailbreak Sendoff?
I've been reading both sides of should we or should we not just get rid of Jailbreak. It's definitely in a bad place currently and has various problems that need to be addressed if we'd want to make a comeback of it, something I do 100% believe we can do it would just take time and effort from both our Administration team and our members to give to the OB personality. Outbreak Jailbreaks always seems to be in trends being one of the top CS JB servers to dying and then making a great comeback. Jailbreak is Outbreaks biggest money maker and I don't want to kill it off without some sort of plan to do something else where we can still be self-sufficient.
Outbreak but no game servers?
This is something that has been suggested to kill off our game server and just have a TS and website. Personality I don't want to go this route because I like having a direction, a server to put effort into. Even though its always a challenge with aids trolls, hackers, ddosing little nerds I still love meeting new players, new people, new personality's whether it's only one great person out of a 100 It's still worth it for me.
With this in mind some of you have suggested downsizing getting rid of the dedi and just have individual servers for each server OB server we have (Website/TS/Gameserver) and we would cut our costs by around 50% while would be amazing BUT the fact I still get emails with "Detection of an attack on IP address" makes me really hesitant to doing this. One of the biggest killers to Outbreak has been DDossing as not only does it stop people from player our server but it seems to destroys the morale of the whole community (Definitely mine at least)
The OB Summer Games
This summer I'm hoping to get a few tournaments as they are always fun for everyone, I personally don't play or are even into rocket league or hearthstone but I'd still enjoy watching OB in a competitive scene. Currently, I want to do a Hearthstone, Rocket League, League of Legends and CSGO tournaments. If there is any more you'd like to see msg me.

Thanks for those who've spent time reading through this thread and I know a lot of people actually care about Outbreak in their own way. That love being here with their friends and although it corny as fuck... a our dysfunction family. I overall think we've improved so much from what we started as and I goal is to with your help to keep being better. I do believe that we all need to take a bit of time thinking about the way we do things and how they might come across, I know I'm guilty of making mistakes but let us try and be better in the way we do things.
I do want to give a massive thank you to everyone that every given time to improve outbreak. Whether its just from being a great member representing Outbreak. Putting efforts into an event or getting new and old players alike playing new things. Or being part of the administration team trying to the Outbreak welcoming and friendly for everyone no matter what.
Okay that enough fucking writing for me all the best from me nerds

Hey Brawler,
After discussion with the Admin team, I'm Sorry to say but I will not be unbanning you. You knew our rules and how seriously we take cheaters yet you still hacked after we trusted you enough to give you member. I might have been more lenient as you were a new member around May and received your last vac around July, had you then come forward and tried to explain yourself. But you didn't.... you never came forward it. It was only when a member of the admin team found your account in November that you owned up to your actions four months later.
We do not want to be associated with hackers especially those who never came forward with there transgressions your ban will stay a permanent ban and I honestly don't see it changing anytime in the future. I do hope you take this as a lesson and don't every hack in the future.

Hadn't read this thread since Mintlou's post as I do actually have other stuff to do, I'm not gonna replace confused reaction with NT as they've quite different. I do like Venga suggestion though.
Also when should we add this reaction?
