Hey Atzul,
After some discussion we have decided to decline you for now. Despite some improvements on integration and how clearly keen you are to get involved with the community, a few issues were brought up with the way you present yourself at times. As well as the majority of your activity coming from the last week or so, the way you act around people a lot of the time causes you to be a hassle to others. You often don't think before you speak and this can sometimes come across as reproachful or toxic as well - it implies that you don't know how to act around others. You also need to be able to take on board constructive criticism, acknowledge it and actually work from it.
I would advise you work on tempering what you are saying when in a channel to try be less irritating and also try not to be so forceful in the way you act, but actually try get involved naturally with people rather than just coming across as if gaining member is the sole purpose you have in mind. Continue integrating with the wider community while improving on these personality traits and then apply again once you have improved, having a bit of patience could go a long way for you. The earliest you can apply again is in 2 weeks time.

Hey! Most of you know me as the keen guy who is always on the top of the scoreboard in every game played, but some know me as that guy who just won't let up...
In this thread i will be reflecting on the past and present, as well as what i plan to do to address my underlying issues.
 
When I first joined - I first joined OB when it was founded on 24th feb 2012. I applied for member 2 days later and got it within 9 minutes. I was also made admin a few days later and risen to head-admin which i held this position for over a year. I was someone. I made a lot of friends and was respected by (almost) everyone... I could of been owner when McLovin left but turned it down, leaving Gaz to take the helm when no one else would step up to the plate. I stepped down shortly afterwards and came back a few times to help here and there.
 
Where things went Wrong - After stepping down for the final time I fell down a slippery slope with no hope of returning to former glory... I got several warnings on the forums, spammed the shoutbox, spammed soundboards, became aids... I also got into bad habits of arguing with people needlessly (Admins, staff, friends) and after reflecting back i should really thank the staff for not banning me and sweeping away, spending a lifetime of damnation with Jordan under the rug.
 
The future on jamie - Today I was told that I should up my game and become somebody again. After spending about 15 minutes or so in the shower, I thought to myself "i need to be back there again"... I will try my hardest to work my way back up to the top, spam less soundboards, join in with more games on ts and get myself back together again. I hope you guys can support me and help regain my reputation. This post is kind of an apology for being one of the biggest skiddos in OB.

Just seen it for the second time today. Loved it as much second time round too! 
I feel that Force Awakenens had too much pressure and expectations put upon it for it to ever live up to the hype. I enjoyed it don't get me wrong but I didn't want to watch it again straight away like I had with R1. 
Cast is good, liked Cassian's character and blind guy a lot. Have to disagree with sniffles on the pacing though, it's definatly one of the weaker aspects of the film. Reminds me a bit of the transformers films in that regard, the first half of it is slow and disjointed really with the last half hour being absoloutly incredible. 
I also like how we can now have strong female leads in films that can stand on their own two feet and don't have to be wearing just their underwear, makes the characters pretty believable. 
Also not to spoil anything but one of my favourite aspects of R1 is the plot hole filling it does for the original trilogy without being over the top and in your face about it. 
I also love the way the force is represented in the film, although not to spoil anything I wont go too much into it. I'm thinking on writing an essay on it for personal enjoyment so people are welcome to ask me more about my thoughts if you want more in depth answers

My personal opinion is that this movie was way better than the last one, it truly felt like a star wars movie (talking about the original saga), and it didn't rely on a nostalgia factor like the last movie. The characters were well fleshed out and also that iconic star wars humour and writing were seen throughout most of the movie. There were pieces of dialoge and scenes that i felt could have been done way better and the movie took a pretty boring dip in the middle, but it quickly caught on and reinstated itself and had one of the best movie endings i've ever seen. Truly a movie worth watching, if you didn't like the last movie and are skeptical about this one, don't worry this movie managed to do star wars justice.

As mentioned in the last News & Update there have been significant changes to the way the donation system works and the various perks available. There has also been an ongoing advent during the Christmas month which you can sign up for each day by logging into the page and clicking on the advent day. Continuing the theme of Christmas spirited things within OB, the draws for our yearly Secret Santa are being drawn tomorrow. If you want to get involved then make sure to read up all of the details and find the sign up thread here. The more the merrier and it's a good way of getting into the Christmas spirit while showing your appreciation for others in this community.

- Landing Page: Gunstar's 'behind the scenes' work
The meme goes that the admins with 'no hours' are just using the excuse 'behind the scenes' work, but soon we hope to show you that it isn't just a meme. A post will come once everything is properly sorted to show it off properly, but this is to give you the heads up that the hours of work that Gunstar has been putting into the landing page and its features will hopefully be in use soon.

- New Moderators: Welcome
As many of you will have noticed, some new green names have popped up. We are happy to welcome the following individuals to the moderator team:

To those who haven't been picked we would like to make it clear that it doesn't automatically mean you aren't good enough to become a moderator. The moderator applications are still going to be open for the time being and if you wish to know why you haven't been picked so far or how you could improve then please feel free to contact a senior member of staff. Congratulations once again to those three and good luck on their trials.

- Goodbye & Thank You
With new blood also comes a farewell for old blood. We've had three moderators step down from our ranks over the past few weeks. Although his time as a mod was brief, Sovman helped a lot in the development of surf and was an all round great character. Strogglok held his position for quite a period of time, put a lot of hours into moderating JB and helped run several events. Thanks to you both for your contribution to our community.
The third person I felt deserved a bit of a separate paragraph. Becoming a moderator way back in July 2015 (when the mod colour was still turquoise), this guy has stuck with us and taken on the responsibility of moderating for a heck of a long time. He always would put effort in and ensure he did his bit each week even if he wasn't feeling great about it or he felt less inspired to put in, because he felt an urge to do his bit for our community. When he first became a mod he was incredibly shy due to personal reasons and watching him develop over his time as part of the staff team, making leaps and bounds in confidence, has truly been a pleasure for me to witness. In my opinion he is one of the best moderators that OB has ever had and I will look forward to the day that he has more time and more inspired to become a part of the team again. Thank you Twiixtor for all the effort you have put in, both on the server and 'behind the scenes'.

Ty for the event

As Lew said, the lag was unexpected and kinda out of our control and it sucked that a chunk of the event was shadowed by that and made it drag out for a lot of you.
I personally am disappointed that the event didn't meet my own expectations, especially coming off the back of two decent previous events. Hopefully we can do a similar style idea but make it work in the future on perhaps a better map without the 'Grinch ruining Christmas' models.
Thanks for all who turned up and for sticking it through - Merry Christmas to you all and here's to a hopefully better 2017 OB.

❅ Payment Changes & Server Costs
I recently received an email from our host stating that their prices will be increasing by 20% as of 15th of January 2017 due to "economic changes following the Brexit"
Following on from that, a few have suggested we just change host however I'm personally not inclined to do this. We've been with our current host for the past year on a dedicated game server and throughout the entire time the server has never really had any issues (from them at least)  Also our host has migrated over 40 attacks over the past year and that's just a great feeling to know we don't have to change house every 3 months. So the host may be expensive but they are a quality host. That expense isn't the best of news though after our donation system was down for a considerable amount of time and has only recently come back in the past couple of months.
All the same, onto some better news! Instead of increasing our prices to help ease our burdens, we will be doing the opposite of our host and putting our VIP donation package on a 20% discount until the beginning of January. This is to encourage as many donations you lovely folk can offer! Hopefully this will allow us to top up our server rental time before they increase the prices and give us more time to look for alternative hosting providers should we need to change.

❅ A Goodbye  
Dipping into a negative, some of you will have noticed that a member of staff has recently been removed from his position. We wanted to take a moment to explain the reasons behind his demotion and consequential punishment. On multiple occasions the individual was warned for abusing his powers. We are relatively trusting in our staff and we prefer to be relaxed when they use powers with fun in mind, however we still expect them to take it on as a responsibility and to be considerate of others when using said powers. The number of complaints we received due to the individual abusing to the point where he was ruining the game mode for others was beyond anything even remotely appropriate. Although we appreciate the effort he did put into this community, it's a shame that it will be overshadowed by the behaviour that has resulted in his demotion and month ban from the community.
 
❅ Staff Recruitment Continues & Community Efforts To Improve OB
Back to a more uplifting note, Moderator apps are still open and they are going to be staying that way for the time being so I suggest all members, both new and old, try playing the server. Whether that be to show us what great potential mods you could make or just to improve the quality of our server atmosphere and give back to the community that we have all spent countless hours in. It's a family time of year and we want you to spend time with your kin and co, but in a way Outbreak is also a (very disjointed ) family and it needs all the support that the community can bring at this time.

The Story
Christmas was vast approaching. Everybody was in high spirits as always. Many were singing, shopping, drinking, eating, relaxing and dancing - well, almost everybody...
Up in the North Pole, this was to be one of the most stressful Christmas' to date. Despite record numbers of elves in employment for the almighty Santa, they were some of the most inefficient. Christmas had deteriorated rapidly over the years, primarily due to internal issues. Laziness by Sgt.Elf.Jeezy, Arrogance by Pvt.Elf.Mentlou, Mistakes by Pvt.Elf.Fluzy, Fatigue by Snr.Elf.Lay-Dog, some of the elves were just plain annoying, thorns to the process of present-making and advancement of the system, like Pvt.Elf.Lamie - Santa's worst nightmare! At this rate, children around the world would be receiving the wrong presents, or none at all! Something had to be done!
Hours were spent in the chambers of Santa's grotto. Santa consulted his wife on a daily basis, the only person in the world he could truly trust. On occasion the two would be joined by Mjr.Elf.Runtstar and Mjr.Elf.Rubseck -  but even then Santa was troubled by their presence. Christmas was crumbling, they claimed to be the elite-task force behind the scenes, but how could they be when everything was going so wrong? Children were beginning disbelieve Santa's existence and commitment to Christmas was crumbling. Controversial decisions were taken, SwrRt.Makkew was reinstated into the factory - despite many believing he had artificially produced presents rather than by hand - cheating as some would say.
Dismissing the 'beta' elves en másee with no clear reason was not an option. Firstly they had been around for years, seen the glory days of present making, it was due to them that OB began to excel. But they would also take to the Great Hall, causing madness, screaming injustice and demanding unbans from the present-making process. There was no clear way to 'trim the fat' from the great Turkey of OB with the liberal persona which had began to take hold of the North.
It was time to return to the old days. Although it seems a game, a fun competition usually taking place around Christmas time, this time the losers of the traditional KnQ would be noted, ridiculed and perhaps even dismissed from the North Pole. Christmas needed to be saved, and those holding the process back HAD to go. Those who can't sing - gone. Those who can't aim - gone. Those who have an IQ of below 80 - gone.
