I really don't like the way it looks. The old design was minimalist and fit in nicely with the rest of the forums, plus I thought the shade of green was really nice against the grey.

The new Facebook-esque system looks tacky, is hard to make out, and quite frankly I find 'emoji' cringe worthy.
At the very least please consider changing the emojis that are used.

I'd advocate putting renewed energy into Jailbreak. Just because a small minority of the older people in the community don't have passion for it anymore, doesn't mean it can't succeed.
Two memes which are actually true:
    1) Attempting to make OB thrive via another game is always gonna be problematic. In general several people will buy a game and get hype around the community then it'll disappear after about 50 hours of gameplay. How many games do we have in this community where like 10 people have stuck to it for a considerable amount of time? Everybody in this community HAS csgo - that's the sort of start you want to be looking at. CSGO is dying in THIS small community under a SELECT overtly vocal minority. Just as I look at the player stats at 9am this morning, it's ranked #2 (as always) with a peek of 550k people. Transferring to another game is already a massive hit on a potential influx of people. As far as I'm aware a PUBG server (if that's even possible in the future) wouldn't be ideal - not really a game you can interact with others beyond your squad of 4 people.

    2) You've all talked non stop about how the player base of JB is little kids. School is still in session. Everyone pre year 11 aren't finishing until July 21st. Not to mention people who are only just finishing GCSE/A level Exams/Returning from Uni. It's all happening now. It's like we've forgot that only 60-90 days ago JB was consistently at 30 players. These coming weeks need to be met with strong commitment from those who wanna see OB expand.

    Course of Action
Purge the mods who clearly don't wanna moderate a game - we don't need teamspeak/forum mods. Open the apps for young potential. 3 big events over 3 weekends, max players we can get. Jailbreak orientated. Squads of prison wardens vs 40 prisoners or some shit - get people interested again, give priority to randoms for once, our members aren't going anywhere, we want new people. Do something risky, take some new decisions. Events are some of the best ways to get people interested, I've had countless randoms/regulars over the years asking if they can get involved, these are the people we don't wanna turn down this time.

At least these are some of the things I'd do, if you want to try another game for the 10th time then go for it. You just need to remember that in a community founded/evolved from CSGO, another game is never gonna be as popular with the entirety of the member base. If we want to revive JB these few weeks are the time to attack, I'd be willing to help in several ways.

It's alright just saying 'I'm fine with teamspeak and forums' - but maybe the admin team doesn't want to just run that for us, maybe they want to... expand xD

    Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am proud to announce the official Grand opening of our latest CSGO Server.....

I've been working on this server for quite a while now and though there were a few delays, it's
now finally at a stage where I want to get the opinions from the Community,
improve everything else through Community play-testing and get feedback.
This also let's all you lovely guys and gals provide any suggestions you have.
    Its all about MG:
The server, at least at the start, is primarily going to be full of Multigames Maps
(My idea is to add single game mode maps later with a lower map time so it does not bore people)   At the start I'll be avoiding course maps as from OB's past experience it didn't go too well with our Community
(Though open to changes later on down the line)
Store will have some additional items for players and donators alike
(I'd like to add more models however we currently don't have anyone that can do them) Credits Re-work - Minigames will be the trialled with some changes to the credits system. There are going to be two separate changes which I hope makes it a more enjoyable system. The amount of credits you earn is increasing to 20 credits for every 4 minutes
(Which works out to be  a x5 increase per minute) Price of most items will be increased by roughly double
Auto Bhop will be enabled, I've had some play testing with some of the admin team so we'll see how it plays out.  A Statistics System much like surf (RIP surf) and I'm currently looking at getting a Web Interface for it.
I'll be doing a Grand Opening event on Friday 12th of May where players can show who is the true MG Masters. Sign up here if you want to get involved in the opening event.
Also Congratulations to those who have understood some of my MG Music hints and
     the pixelated MG Map images.

After the opening event which should start at 6pm and last till around 7:30-8pm,
the server will go down for about 5-10 minutes to record Stats for the event,
after which the Server will then be open to everyone!
Hope to see you all in our new server soon.
    Sir_Conor x

The year 2017 started with a sign of hope, a new year usually gives a good starting point for projects; a place to look back to when things are accomplished. Here we are, five months in, bringing that marker with us because it feels like nothing has begun yet. The staff team has changed, the members have flocked back to their educational villages to live their lives, to open their minds and try to make a better person of themselves ready for the real world. The thing is, Outbreak as a community needs to have its own development as well. We can't be in the past forever. We need to (sometimes) accept the differences and try to progress in a way that is dynamic so that we can retain our long term members. We need to be adaptive to bring in the new ones.
I feel that there are a lot of untold implications that are stirring around this community at the moment. Opinions and ideas that are boiling up inside a quiet army of directionless staff. The thing is, that these thoughts are unhealthy for this community if it wants to keep the flag high up in the winds.
The last 3 years have been very traumatic for all of us, we've had a tectonic shift in how we've functioned as a community. We've all had to face some very difficult choices. Choices which have separated and divided even the strongest of friendships. They say that time is a great healer, that time brings us stability and strength. I feel that since the summer of '16 we have drifted apart. And that the wishful thinking of recovery has been wiped away due to the stagnant approach we have taken so far this year.
We can discuss it. We can debate it. We need to FACE IT. There are few who can change the future of Outbreak community. There are many that can actually make that happen. We are fed up of being told what's right and wrong by those who wish to privatise our servers by purchasing a dedicated box hosted in FRANCE. Outbreak community should be supporting local, British businesses, and should be free at the point of use, funded by a more economically sound donation system. I want to change donations to be an optional amounted, permanent addition to one's membership here at Outbreak. I want to downsize our servers to serve only the purpose which we desire.
The only way we can do this is with a Labour vote. We cannot do this by continuing to support the Sir_ConServatives. On June the 8th, make sure you get out there and vote for what's best.

    Hey
Many of you are aware of it already but this is the public post to make it official.
After taking a long time to come to this decision, I have decided to step down from Head-Admin and being part of staff. It took so long to finally decide as for a while I felt that I couldn't step down in a sense, but I feel like the timing is right and I didn't want to continue in a role which I was struggling to find the will to work in.
There are a multitude of reasons for it being now and people can feel free to message me if they want to talk further, but I'd rather talk about my time as staff rather than focusing on the leaving.
Outbreak has put countless obstacles, challenges and environments in my path for me to deal with and given me a depth of experience that not many people can say they've taken from an online role. From running events to dealing with people on a more personal level, I have been able to grasp an understanding of people from so many different backgrounds.
Unlike back when I was moderator on CSS, there was a level of emotion to it this time that I never had before and I can only say I'm grateful for being able to work on this community in that way. It might just be an online gaming community but it means a lot to me. Outbreak became something that putting time into was more valuable to me than a lot of things which other people might have thought should have taken priority, but I'm glad that it did.
One of my few regrets is that during my time we weren't able to establish expansion on a server level for a prolonged period of time. We grew as a core community and, in my opinion, became far more unified than we were before I entered the position but it appears the task of further game server expansion is on the shoulders of those who I will leave.
I'd like to thank everyone who has ever put or will put voluntary work into this community, as staff or otherwise. I will still be around as a member (though busy due to exams for the near future) and if I ever decide to return to staff I'll work my way up, the way any ex staff member should.
My only request is that as a community we try show our appreciation for those who put effort in a bit more. I'm aware many of you do appreciate people's efforts and you do mean well, but showing that bit of acknowledgement and perhaps turning the whining or picking into doing or constructing would go a long way towards progressing this community further.
For anyone who is confused: Kwaheri means Goodbye in Swahili.
    Thank you Outbreak
    Mathew
