  1. Hey Vodo Hazed,

Congratulations, we have decided to put you on trial for membership.

You've got great teamspeak activity and have been around in the community for a long time, the only thing you need to work on to pass your trial is improving your forum activity. Just get involved on the forums and maybe start some threads yourself and you'll be fine. Feel free to post your picture in the show your ugly face thread here's a link to your picture c:/users/ahmed/face.jpg ?

    All the best,

    The OB Staff

  2. This vote will be closing in the next couple of days if you haven't already vote please do so.

Am I correct in thinking that @keemy can no longer win this as he's a mod?

As it's a new role not everything is fully confirmed of what the OB Rep role will do, currently I'd imagine OB Rep will have different responsibly that a mod. So keemy can still be voted for and whoever wins will be asked if they actually want the role and if they decide they don't it'll just to to the runner up.

  3. Outbreak Community Choice Event

This will be the first community choice event from the suggested events, five have been picked if you don't like any of them you can say so and if there is a majority people saying "No" on this another five will be picked. If you do like some of the event options you can order them 1-5 from 1 being most wanted and 5 being least.

I see this more as an event than a server tbh

I'd love some Overwatch events tbh, Alex has said some that he's done in the past that sounds pretty good.

  5. The suggestion part of this thread, on who you think this person should be the Outbreak Community Representative will be closing this weekend, If you still want to suggest anyone for this role please do it soon.
The top couple of people will be added into a vote.

and generally make the calender more visible on the front page to encourage people to sign up to future events

Events show up on the front page 2 weeks before the event See below "Upcoming Events"

Also on the Event page you can both "Follow" the event for updates or you can use the "Set Reminder" to get a reminder/forum notification depending on your notification settings. I've not see a plugin that can changed the reminder time to lower than days but if you following the event we could get it so someone posts a "Starting in X" to make it give you a notification.

As recently mentioned in the Monthly Update post, an area for development is community wide integration one of the best ways to do this is Events/Tournaments both big and small or something more causal along the lines of Community Game Nights.

This thread will for be for suggestion on what people would like to see done, this will need be done as a community effort, so if you are suggesting something you should be will to try and help out with it so it doesn't end up being piled upon one or a small number of people. When we get a number of suggestions then a poll will then be created for the community to vote on which out of the choices they would most like to see. So long as their are suggestions and people to help out this should be a great way for all of us unite as a community. All of these events will be posted in the Outbreak Community Calendar if you want to see upcoming events.

To start the ball rolling Frostie is doing the first Community Game Night More info below.

As mentioned in the Monthly update Here, a Outbreak Community Representative role will be created to keep everyone updated on everything that is happening throughout the community whether it be Events, Servers and Community Development as a whole, put simply they will be the Outbreak PR person working with everyone. Hopefully this role will fix our lack of community information/updates so that everyone knows where we are at. If you have any suggestion on the role itself feel free to post below.

This Thread will be for suggestion on who you think this person should be, the top couple of people will be added into a poll on this post.

Following our first "Community Discussion Meeting" here is the outcome of that meeting, the meeting showed how we do all care about the community and its direction and I want to personal thank everyone who got involved this will be something that we shall try to do on a monthly basis.

    Community Discussion Meeting

Overhaul the feedback from the meeting shows that we do want some sort of community growth through various areas throughout the community, a few ways to do this have been suggested which I will be mentioning below.

A role will be voted on by the community to say who they want as the "Outbreak Community Representative" this person will keep everyone updated on everything that is happening throughout the community whether it be Events, Servers and Community Development as a whole, put simply they will be the Outbreak PR person working with everyone. Hopefully this role will fix our lack of community information/updates so that everyone knows where we are at. More information HERE.

Monthly Update posts will actually be posted monthly, keeping our community updated, in-between this we will be doing Community Discussion Meetings where everyone can show up and we can discuss the community together. Community Discussion Meeting and Monthly Updates will also take place on a bi-weekly format for example:

    • 01/01/2019 Monthly Update
    • 15/01/2019 Community Discussion Meeting
    • 01/02/2019 Monthly Update
    • 15/02/2019 Community Discussion Meeting

The Community Discussion Meetings will be up on the calendar as soon as a date and time is selected, this will be where you can either post points that you would like to bring up or message either Myself and the Staff Team or the Outbreak Community Representative these meeting should be no longer than one hour.

Outbreak Community Media is an area that was brought up in the meeting where everyone can get involved uploading clips or funny situations that have happened in the community, think something along the lines of Soviet Womble Videos. A Thread for this will be created where you can upload Videos to dropbox/google drive or whatever else and hopefully they can be created to showcase our community and then uploaded to the Outbreak Community YouTube Channel which you can subscribe to right now HERE, More information about this will be posted on the Thread itself.

Currently the Community is split in different channels throughout the Teamspeak this is something everyone brought up to and wanted to try and resolve. The best suggestion for this is Events whether it be fully organised Events/Tournaments or something more causal along the lines of Game Nights. A thread for this will be created where we can post suggestion on what people would like to see done, this will need be done as a community effort, so if you are suggesting something you should be will to try and help out with it so it doesn't end up being piled upon one or a small number of people.

    GTA FiveM RP Server

GTA FiveM RP Server as I've previously mentioned I've been focusing on working on this, the current ETA is to have something like a playable BETA for Outbreak by the end of the month. If you do want to help out with this whether that be suggesting possible plugins from HERE or anything else let us know.

If you do have experience with GTA FiveM or if you have played it yourself or watched videos and have suggestions for the server let us know! Some examples of things that would be really helpful would be plugin creation/editing or GTA Map Editing.

    Minor Update

Members+ Can give out Teamspeak Permissions to anyone in the  "New Permissions" Group, please try to either give out perms to people that you know or if you have been asked another player or if you have spoken the them.

Meet us in the middle somewhere for a chat and then come up with an idea to pitch back to the community on another poll?

I'm free most nights, I'll chat about this with anyone whenever. Though I'm not sure a poll will actually work from past experiences.

  11. There hasn't been as much progress as I wanted to on the GTA/FiveM Server, I've been doing the stuff on the side for it although I've not been able to devote as much time as I'd of liked due to personal reasons. We set up a vanilla FiveM Server quite quickly but were having issues while installing the main major frameworks and getting them to work together without throwing errors or just crashing, it's only been this weekend where we've got the framework to actually work and are at a point of deciding what we need to install.

I've spent the past few hours today playing around on different RP Servers having a look at mechanics and systems that they have and what ones we'll need and it is a hell of a lot which we'll all need configs setting up correctly and making sure everything works together. I definitely don't have much experience setting up FiveM server which is taking a lot of time learning while at the same time trying to implement it.

Now unless GTA/FiveM Server isn't something that people want and they have alternative ideas or suggestions or whatever instead, I do think GTA/Five M RP server would really be great for us but there is a lot of work that needs to be done and I honestly can't do it all, Cheese helps as much as he can but as he previously mentioned he's been massively busy with work and hasn't been able to help as much.

Simply put we need more people helping with the Server if we actually want to make it and make it good some of the things I see we need is already:

Server Development Help (Both people with technical experience and others to help find plugins through Here)
Server Communications (Keeping people updated on what's going on, so people have a much better idea of what's happening)
GTA V/Five M RP players that have played on servers and can give us a better idea what some of the best Quality of Life/Must have plugins.
Anyone that has an interest in GTA and are willing to spend hours of their time testing out everything.

Afterwards, we can try and get more custom plugins created, not sure how much LUA @Quinn has done before but they said they happily make shit for us and if there is anyone else who also wants to help with this the more the better.

Last I asked, "If anyone has any experience setting up FiveM servers let us know as it be helpful." I didn't get any feedback, other than the people who were just genuinely looking forward to GTA RP Server but if we want to have the server out faster we are going to need more people willing to help and spend time on it. So if there are people that want to help with GTA RP Server either come to speak to me, forum message me hopefully I get more of a response than last time and then together we can start actually making progress on both the server and then the community as a whole.

Do we have an eta on this server, I'm guessing it's going to take quite a while as I don't think anyone has made a gta5 server previous, can I suggest getting rid of and getting in some mods who are actually excited for this server.

Going to be try finish setting a default FiveM with only a few of the plugin/mods throughout half-term. After that is set up and fully working it should just be add additional plugins/mods to customize the server but as I've never done one before I'm not 100% how long anything will take me I've spoken to a few people who play this a lot more to get an idea of things that we'll need and if there are any suggestions from feel free to give them.

Mods are removed after a server has been released and they either not helped to do anything with it or if they not tried to help out anywhere else. We would usually get new mods after a server has been released as we can actually see if they play on it or not. For this server it'll probably be different as it is more likely to have things get could break and fuck everything up so I thought about having a few BETA stages and this we'll be where we can also get a chance to see who's playing the server before release and get a few extra mods beforehand.

If anyone has any experience setting up FiveM servers let us know as it be helpful.

Or if you want to help out more with the admin team whether that be through events, servers or any others suggestions feel free to give them.

  13. I've been away for the last 2 weeks but I've looking at setting up a GTA V/FiveM RP Server so if people are interested in that let us know. I'd like to get more events going if anyone wants to do any? We should have a couple coming from other members of the Admin Team soon from my knowledge.

I'm also thinking about rather than doing events try out doing something like game nights, and just do a gathering of people on a game.
