Disliked because of racist steam name

I lurk to see how the community is doing every couple weeks, just gotta say some of my funniest moments i've ever experienced have been with members of this community. Whether that be on the JB server, tourneys or just mix room shit talking, gotta give a big thanks to OB and all the great people here.

I'm sure most of you already know what this game is but for those who don't; Riot Games have made a shooter sorta similar to CS and it's in Closed Beta rn. Here's some gameplay

When I joined the community I tried getting us to set up an IRC for Outbreak, as that's what I was used to in my old community. The response was basically "No, TeamSpeak encourages integration."
I think that's very true tbh as anyone can sit behind a keyboard and type whatever they want, be annoying, seem smart, whatever. You can be some new kid talking shit to the OGs of the community. It creates a much better experience when you force this new kid into a voice channel full of people in their 20s. The kid shits himself and is put into his place by the abuse he inevitably receives. 
If we had a discord back then, I might have just stayed out of voice channels and stayed in #General. I would have never got to know the interesting people in OB to the level of depth that I have. I may have just sat in a voice channel listening and typing. With TeamSpeak, people will shit on you if you are typing without a good reason. Voice chat provides a much better experience in our community and Discord would allow people to escape having to use it.

Nice to see so many of yous still sticking around, especially the newbies who have stuck around and become oldies. OB has always been strongest on the community side of things, bringing people from both ends of the spectrum together and the fact you guys are still here just proves that point more. Although the jailbreak days were arguably the best, events, mixes, tournaments and just TS convos are probably what I miss the most. It's over yeah, but it's better to be a "turd in some overgrown grass" than a turd washed away in the sewage right?

It's gonna take a long time to get to 60 for most of us so while the hype might not be as insane, I could still see a solid playerbase. We're on Razorgore and Alliance if you do decide to make a character

You don't understand how someone likes X instead of Y despite them having very few comparitives other than a big time investment? I don't know what to tell you other than it's an opinion.
I played WoW when Vanilla was at its peak well through to MoP and for me WOTLK hits that sweet spot of story, quality of life features being fleshed out and just enough and time investment required for satisfaction. 
Vanilla has not aged well for me and that's what it comes down to, are you even old enough to remember playing it?
