VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted July 12, 2017 @DannyS If anyone here is retarded, it's you. Sniffles is making the very fair case that net neutrality is bad. I agree. When companies have free reign over stuff, like the Amazon rain forest, they improve what they inherit with their newfound powers. The market delivers optimal results, every time. If you think otherwise you're a smelly hippy who buys into the politics of envy, except if you're middle class or above, in which case you're a champagne socialist. 5 Sniffles, mitch, Scrobbesbyrig and 2 others reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

It's not something you own, Net Neutrality will destroy steam, would you like having throttled speeds downloading your favorite games after formatting your hard drive because you downloaded too much porn? Bro I'm on a gigabyte speed fibre line, throttle away. And just because something is digital, doesn't mean it's free. If that's what you believe, give me full access to your entire hard drive, I want everything you have on there if it's free! Including your games bro, and your skins. And your bank details. Online banking is free! That means I can have your "digital" money! 1 VENGA BUS reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

Vemix 205 Posted July 13, 2017 After awhile of being finding out what this "net neutrality" is, I figured out what it meant after I had someone else explain it to me. I asked the folks back in the states and what their opinion was about it and they told me that they already were fighting against it and it was on the local news and big news stations. But I can't think of what it would be like for my internet provider to manually slow down my connection and force me to pay an extra fee just to get out of the "slow lane". Wist 376 Posted July 13, 2017 I'm all for net neutrality, but it's a non-issue in the UK and EU. It's affirmed into EU law, which UK law preceded. I'm not sure what you want us to do - call our congressman? The availability of competitive providers means net neutrality will never be the chokehold it is in America, where you can be locked to one to two providers regionally. 6 Sniffles, iZac, w33zy and 3 others reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

It's madness to me that there are people out there who support this shit. The internet is a privilege, not a right. You don't complain when Sky charges you more for all of the extra sports/films content on top of the basic channels. 1 VENGA BUS reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
