This is the result of the fierce debate on this thread.
Thanks to the team for taking the time to discuss the future. Next steps have been agreed for the community development, let's all work to make it happen.

    So TL:DR,
There is still some drive here for community engagement to happen There is a desire for gaming servers to pop up for the right game and at the right time FiveM is actually quite a difficult thing to set up and some aren't too sure if it is the thing that will save Outbreak There is a feeling that the community members have separated into smaller groups that rarely have reason to interact with each other There is a consensus that the staff team should shake things up a bit @Sir_Conor + @Frostie + @giant_cheesepuff
Why don't we have a sit down on TeamSpeak one night and just talk through how we can all contribute to fixing Outbreak without breaking any relationships further? From the responses given here it seems that people currently object to the idea of the staff team completely changing, but also express some frustration if things stay the way they are. However everyone wants this community to progress in a positive way that involves people. We should all focus on that bit.
Meet us in the middle somewhere for a chat and then come up with an idea to pitch back to the community on another poll?

To me it's pretty pointless bringing out servers or changing who is in charge of OB at the minute. There needs to be a shift in what we are all playing. I'm all for ideas but any server you bring out now will more than likely be dead in a week lets be honest.  We need to bide our time and wait for a new landmark game or game engine, like the next g-mod or CS, something that everyone will be pulled to. The only game i see at the minute that most people in OB are going to be pulled to is when Halo is launched on Steam, we can wait and see if dedicated servers pop up for it and make sure we are among the first to establish a decent community. In the meantime don't waste your time bitches.

I don’t know how you all can take a single quote out of context and say it’s what I have been saying for a long time. Fact is something was happening in my real life around the time I was ‘ambushed’ with questions about the community. I’m not going to bring my real life drama onto the forums. You’ve all been in our shoes as moderators and admins when the community has struggled and should know it’s not easy to just “do something new”. This post has definitely got the ball rolling again, despite the team working on a FiveM server as previously mentioned, I can openly say I haven’t had anything to do with it. Firstly I don’t enjoy the game, secondly I don’t have the knowledge behind the server set-up and modding, thirdly I do not own the game and don’t plan on changing that as my computer is shit and won’t be able to run it well enough, finally I have a business to run. Yes I can step down and remove myself from the team, but on the other hand Conor is a good real life friend and I want to support him whenever I can possible.
As said, the ball is rolling again thanks to Akame, his post was inspirational and has gained traction amongst us. Conor and Cheesepuff will be focusing on the FiveM server, Myself and Ginger will be looking at frequent events again and Kai will be drifting between the two as well as other projects.
We do appreciate your patience in the meantime, thanks.

    - Less games which communities can put their own spin on due to lack of community servers/modding
    - Games all have their own official/unofficial discords which are largely populated, meaning you can find games and talk
    - Ageing population within the community with more responsibilities outside of gaming (this goes for everyone)
Regardless of the stale administration, I don't see anything happening lol. I personally don't care for GTA.
Shut forums down keep TS server, if we meet people we want to hang out with they can join.

    nice forums doesnt work properly.

also back in the day when people were mod/admin and they didnt find motivation to do anything or having busy schedule for work etc. They lay down their role and give it to someone else who has got the time. Like i told conor i dont give a shit abouth whats happening atm cause i dont care anymore mostly. I am happy to join teamspeak and talk to the guys and play games.
Gaming also changed a lot last years. People get older, new games come out and seriously no1 in here would play jailbreak for longer than a week. But yea if you are a Owner/admin or something and there isnt anything done last 6 months maybe its time for a change? or actually show something that we know you guys are working on. These threads always come up every half a year and its always the same. yea we working on this we working on that.

Also @Frostie i really enjoy your post, i remember when you still talked shit few weeks ago abouth whats being done in outbreak. saying you dont care anymore and no1 is doing anything, yet you come here just to shit on mintlou. big ass hypocrite, saying conor funds the teamspeak so he cares. plenty times we said we want to fund aswell but you get no proper reaction back how to fund aswell.

Also big idea to have a fundraiser on the forums for the cost for the website and teamspeak? loads of other communities do this and we shared this idea months ago aswell, no proper response.
i didnt really wanna make a post like i said cause i enjoy getting on teamspeak and just speak/game with my buddies.
but we all know mintlou is not the easiest person to deal with but i agree this time this motherfucker has points and nothing is being done last 6/8 months, reviving minigames or jb for the 10th time is not worth it. we all know it dies within 2 weeks.

I wouldn't call 30 people split into 5 Groups a community tbh, everyone in OB has different interests and the one thing they had in common was the game server or events that OB used to run, with neither of those happening it's just a TS server with 30ish people on it with 5-8 of which being in the OG channel ,15 being spread in Mix Rooms with about 3 in each and around 7 people constantly in Games Rooms, these numbers never really change, people have at this point stopped trying to mix groups of people up and it's obvious why, they have no reason too, before they had servers or events which led to community integration, without those OB will remain a TS server which has no real community feel to it, the only person that I see moving between groups consistently is Quinn, however they've been in the community fuck knows how long so they comfortably know the OGs and is still the age of the other people within the community so they can relate to their humour etc, which leads to another thing of when the possibility of Discord was being discussed, that thread alone shows the divide between the community some people willing to leave if the move was going to happen and honestly I don't blame them it's like when someone said "It's like going to a pub to see your mates and saying we need more mates" we don't and hence why the community is split, no common interests between groups cause splits and the splits can be fixed with events or a server which people will enjoy longterm.

The title speaks for itself, just in my opinion not for the same reason that you agree with. I personally think it’s yourself that needs to change Mintlou, the community has developed a lot over it’s lifetime it has had it’s ups and it’s downs. We have reached a point where we are not a gaming community anymore and are in fact a community. The teamspeak exists solely as a hub to group everyone together so that they may choose their own games to play and interact with people of their choosing. We don’t have a need for “fresh blood” every week because the community exists from the foundries of friendships. I personally don’t mind new people coming in or not, this is my own opinion as I enjoy playing the games I currently do with the people I have chosen to spend my time with.
As for yourself you’re holding onto the idea “what we were and should be” and it’s always the same with you every 4-6 months you will start a dramafest that will go in circles as you said yourself until it fizzles out.
I’m happy to assist with servers and events when we have a clear desire for them but that desire doesn’t exist. It’s not as simple as it sounds throwing a server together and keeping it populated when the majority of the community and all of the admin team have full time jobs. Don’t get me wrong we all enjoy doing it, but then to set something up that was requested to only let it die after a few weeks because the community no longer wants it causes a lack of motivation and we have to start again.
If you desperately want to help, try by accepting that ownership isn’t going to change until something major happens in Conors life that requires his full attention and start acting like a supportive member instead of a brat.
There is nothing stopping you from creating a server of your own whatever that may be, using your own funds and taking in donations to fund it. You don’t require “ownership” to make a server, we have had multiple servers ran by members (mostly minecraft) that were successful and didn’t require ownership status to make that happen.
As it stands Conor is the Owner, he funds the Teamspeak and pays for pop up servers to be played until their expiration date. You can say you are greatful or argue you don’t want him to do that, either way he does it because he cares. We all care, however real life sometimes has to take priority over the virtual world and slows down projects and causes lack of communication between staff and staff aswell as staff and members.
This will be the last response on this thread from us as it’s just another one of your rants about “the state of the community” no matter how you paint it and argue it, that’s exactly what this has been.
Thanks for your read, Good day.

I hope everyone has had a good time over the holiday period, as it comes to a new year with Outbreak, we are looking to reengage the community focus through the use of game servers and community events. More information will be coming about this in the future, but as for now, I am proud to announce our upcoming server.
As many of you may have seen at the top of the forums, Outbreak now has a DayZ server. We are currently looking for, implementing, and testing mods as well as making changes to basic server settings to make the server more enjoyable for everyone. If anyone has any suggestions on what kind of mods they would like to see added to the server, feel free to post here. Any ideas that you think could make the server more enjoyable are appreciated, although not everything is possible due to the fairly new addition of the modding tools, and there not being a crazy amount of mods available. However, we can compromise and try to fulfill these ideas as best as we can with the resources we have.
If you do have any other suggestions for servers that you think could work in Outbreak, feel free to post them below.
    All the best,
    The Outbreak Staff ?

    1st person

Reason 1: people won't be able to literally SPY on you by hugging a corner of a wall
Reason 2: If the player base is built off of 3rd person players and the server is switched to 1st person a couple months into it, this would be a huge gamble in itself since the people who play in 3rd person would probably want it to stay that way.

Idea 2: separate server for 1st person
(sure this would split the player base but hear me out)
You could use this idea as a testing period per say, see which server gains more traction and if they both get a healthy amount of players then good, if one gets a significantly higher amount than the other (30-40 player difference), consider mainly focusing on the more populated server, at this point i'm assuming the players from the other server would have possible made an account on the forums so they would know the reason why the less popular server was closed down and they'd (hopefully) just move onto the other OB hosted server instead of moving onto a different server with similar settings (aka if they get on teamspeak don't be a cuck and drive them away).
