Frostie got a reaction from Toby. in Classic WOW
Current WoW is repetitive boring gameplay up until level 90 where you lose the ability to power up for heirlooms. The game becomes a little more entertaining with the need to actually loot or buy and change your items instead of having one set that constantly scales with your character level. It is still very repetitive in the sense of queue for a dungeon, auto find a team and carry out said dungeon with a few people which have already boosted countless accounts to max.
Classic WoW: Removes all the gay shit, makes leveling up longer and allowing you to actually be excited about getting a new low level item, feels more like an exploration game instead of fly here-fly there-fly back here.
I will most certainly be playing WoW Classic and would really enjoy playing as a community guild because it makes things more enjoyable playing with people and gives someone to flex your shit to when you get a good drop. ??‍♂️

This is why we chose you as Member of the month. You’re intentions are always good but you’re a very hard faced person. Very good stuff tbh. Keep this up and you might get it for a back-to-back month win!
This is the side of you that I really respect and don’t get tired of. Thanks for this, thanks a lot. ?

Ok so there's 2 servers up now.
One for each game mode. I have re-branded them as Outbreak Community servers as I feel the word community is what will get players to join the server and hopefully this place.

Frostie reacted to Wist in Hello - a seven year update
Had a little trip down memory lane today, and had a look at my introduction from 2012. I thought I'd make a new one in the interest of actually meeting some more corners of the community, but for reference you can see below:
Peep that completely unnecessary A Level English brag - what the fuck was I hoping for?
Anyway, I am (still) Wist, but my real name is Harry. I am now 23, and live in London. I work in Technology Resilience at Deloitte Cyber, specialising in Business Continuity and Catastrophic Recovery in Financial Market Infrastructures. In plainer English, I effectively help banks, clearing houses, brokers, securities dealers, repo dealers, payments infrastructure (and a whole host more) recover from IT failure of all stripes - minor outages to total disasters. If anyone is interested, read this story about the world's largest shipping company, Maersk, being hit by a cyber attack. It's about the kind of scale I'm aiming to combat.

Prior to working in Cyber, I studied Political Philosophy at a place called Trinity Hall. I grew up in Somerset, where my parents still live. I think I've probably served in more roles than anyone else in Outbreak: from memory, Member, Mod, Admin, Head Admin, Community Admin, Co-Owner, Owner, Veteran and now back to Member again. I will always have a special place in my heart for this community - we really are a (dysfunctional) family. I think I probably know the OGs better than most of my real friends. Between my life's ups and downs, they're usually the first to know. I definitely hope the younger generation get the same bond - it's a special thing (and probably why the OGs are such an insufferable clique if you're not 'in').

Don't have nearly enough time to game as I'd like anymore, but I seem to be playing CS:GO, Rocket League, and FTL as my 'go-tos'. I'm still running around as a fairly headless chicken trying to work out how to vaguely adult - no luck yet.

I'm conscious that some of the younger folks are getting to that near-university application stage - If you ever need a hand, just yell. I'm happy to help with personal statements or revision advice etc. etc.

Anyway, that's me. Hope to see more of you around!

Frostie got a reaction from Lucy in New server idea?
Well that’s what we here at Outbreak do best! Make something, let it run its course and then move onto something new (or wait for someone to start a complaint thread).
If there is enough interest in this then we can try and make it happen. As said earlier there are certain members that will be willing to dedicate their time to this then we can try running regular events on this game.
We can all agree this won’t last as a server for more than a month and will become very stale if we try to force that.
Good idea, unfortunately not enough interest or player base to support a server ☹️
  19. Thanks

Frostie reacted to Sir_Conor in make the calender give u a reminder because i missed minecraft :((
Events show up on the front page 2 weeks before the event See below "Upcoming Events"

Also on the Event page you can both "Follow" the event for updates or you can use the "Set Reminder" to get a reminder/forum notification depending on your notification settings. I've not see a plugin that can changed the reminder time to lower than days but if you following the event we could get it so someone posts a "Starting in X" to make it give you a notification.
