More expensive than putting people in general pop

It's a money thing, not a justice thing.

I would agree if justice was swift and evidence was absolute but unfortunately neither of these can be guaranteed. It's a subject I take great interest in tbh - would be a thread worth discussion on its own.

Reduce time on death row in contrast to USA, only confirmed death penalty if evidence is undeniable. Would be an area where the judge can exercise interpretation and flexibility.

    E.G:

CCTV of guy brutally shooting 15 children and he's pleading guilty - he's sentenced to death within the year.

Much cheaper than having him in a high security prison, paying people to try and help him etc until he dies of old age, where he could potentially have an okay life.

Should only be used in the most extreme crimes, and should not be utilised when there is doubt surrounding the conviction.

If the person is clearly mentally unstable, that's another external factor to debate. I'm not saying it should be a set procedure which should always be used when X crime is committed. But it should be an option available for the absolute scum and under the right circumstances.

  2. Forum Game:

You type 3 separate statements - all of which must be concerned/about YOU. Two of these statements are false/lies, and one is a truth.

The next person to type their 3 'facts' has to guess which, of the last persons statements, was a lie - and so the game will go on. When typing your own statements, you could reply to earlier ones too if you find them interesting, and think that the person who commented on it picked the wrong truth, we'll just see how it goes.

    1) I once cheated in CS:S, when I was about 11 years old (2007) with Jgreg. This was in community servers, not competitive gathers. I will not say what type of hack it was, but obviously I never got caught and have never used any form of cheats since.

    2) I (arguably) saved a woman's life several years ago. I was walking my dog quite deep into the countryside (through farm fields behind my house) when I heard a whining. I ran over and a woman was up against a tree with her dog next to her, she'd broken her leg, and fractured her elbow by falling down the hill in this field - she'd been lying there for 6 hours with no help. I carried her all the way back to my town, which was about 3-4 miles away. (I didn't have my mobile phone on me if you're wondering why I didn't just call an ambulance - she did have hers, but didn't have any signal where she was.)

    3) I once crawled up behind a lady in a shopping centre, as we were queuing to pay for our parking ticket (the lady was using the machine). I sniffed her bottom, turned around to my mum and Auntie and said 'smelly stuff'.

  3. Hard topic, not sure there's many games that no one else could enjoy except one person.

But I'd go with depth, a shark game - 2 sharks vs 4 divers. Divers have to reach an end time objective before the sharks kill them all. I think eraser, conor and weezy played a few hours of it, I know others would enjoy it if they bought it.

  4. why would we want this community to grow? we have a core group of loyal guys sitting in teamspeak, who've made this community what it is, without us it'd be dead.

Stop trying to expand, admins should be watching over what they have. Any newish members should be integrating more, not coming up with server ideas. A CS:GO server is doomed to fail, the commitment isn't there from us old boys anymore, sorry kai.!
