It's the festive time of the year and it's time for the monthly update.
 
- Donation System: I like to repeat myself
As mentioned in the last News & Update there have been significant changes to the way the donation system works and the various perks available. There has also been an ongoing advent during the Christmas month which you can sign up for each day by logging into the page and clicking on the advent day. We also have a raffle going on for the chance to win the 3 month package costing £1 per entry (package usually costs £15.99). For more information on the store see the post here.

- Secret Santa: Last chance to join in
Continuing the theme of Christmas spirited things within OB, the draws for our yearly Secret Santa are being drawn tomorrow. If you want to get involved then make sure to read up all of the details and find the sign up thread here. The more the merrier and it's a good way of getting into the Christmas spirit while showing your appreciation for others in this community.

- Landing Page: Gunstar's 'behind the scenes' work
The meme goes that the admins with 'no hours' are just using the excuse 'behind the scenes' work, but soon we hope to show you that it isn't just a meme. A post will come once everything is properly sorted to show it off properly, but this is to give you the heads up that the hours of work that Gunstar has been putting into the landing page and its features will hopefully be in use soon.

- New Moderators: Welcome
As many of you will have noticed, some new green names have popped up. We are happy to welcome the following individuals to the moderator team:

- Pasickle
- giant_cheesepuff
To those who haven't been picked we would like to make it clear that it doesn't automatically mean you aren't good enough to become a moderator. The moderator applications are still going to be open for the time being and if you wish to know why you haven't been picked so far or how you could improve then please feel free to contact a senior member of staff. Congratulations once again to those three and good luck on their trials.

- Goodbye & Thank You
With new blood also comes a farewell for old blood. We've had three moderators step down from our ranks over the past few weeks. Although his time as a mod was brief, Sovman helped a lot in the development of surf and was an all round great character. Strogglok held his position for quite a period of time, put a lot of hours into moderating JB and helped run several events. Thanks to you both for your contribution to our community.
The third person I felt deserved a bit of a separate paragraph. Becoming a moderator way back in July 2015 (when the mod colour was still turquoise), this guy has stuck with us and taken on the responsibility of moderating for a heck of a long time. He always would put effort in and ensure he did his bit each week even if he wasn't feeling great about it or he felt less inspired to put in, because he felt an urge to do his bit for our community. When he first became a mod he was incredibly shy due to personal reasons and watching him develop over his time as part of the staff team, making leaps and bounds in confidence, has truly been a pleasure for me to witness. In my opinion he is one of the best moderators that OB has ever had and I will look forward to the day that he has more time and more inspired to become a part of the team again. Thank you Twiixtor for all the effort you have put in, both on the server and 'behind the scenes'.
 
That will conclude this monthly update. Thank you once again to everyone who puts effort into this community. We hope you all have a great festive period, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Considering I made a post about ruining threads through irrelevant baits and shit talking just yesterday, let's just say that I'm not happy that pretty much every member of staff who can has had to hide numerous posts over the last few hours. It's honestly pathetic.
Some of you might find it funny and just see it as baits, some of you might just see it as retaliation and 'that person started it'. Quite frankly, I don't give a shit. If you want to have your baits or be flat out a twat towards someone, save it for yourself - the forum is not the place for it and this is far from the first time that this has been said. The forum is a public platform where, unless you literally sign what you are saying as bait/sarcasm (and even when you do that it doesn't excuse 95% of what gets said), people can interpret anything in any way.
Over the last couple of weeks or so this forum has enjoyed moderate life with a good balance of funny random shit and discussion, it doesn't need the shitfest that devolved over a few threads. So whether it be baits, insults, shit posts, just blatantly derailing thread inappropriately or anything that you know full well is just flat out not acceptable - it won't be tolerated any longer.
Older and newer players have been involved in this and you know full well who you are. Whether you dislike a group/individual or just get kicks out of it, it ruins the forums and creates petty drama for staff to deal with when they are already dealing with enough as it is (I've even seen individuals directly ignore staff when being asked to settle it down). So let's make it clear, anyone who continues this petty shit will be facing loss of membership/whatever groups they are in and will likely be facing bans/further restrictions - we don't have time to monitor the forums for toxic behaviour constantly and we shouldn't have to either.
The nature of this thread was more of a suggestion/instruction rather than needing open discussion, so I'm going to lock it to make my post a definitive warning. 'I didn't read your post' will not be tolerated as an excuse if you decide to ignore this warning and you get dealt with accordingly.
Let's not have it that I have to write stupid posts about such petty dumb things again, save your insulting humour/bullshit for more appropriate places.

As many of you will have read in the donation system post in the News & Updates section, we are running an advent calendar which will give random prizes to individuals on the run up to Christmas.
Essentially this post is both to act as a repeated explanation (as the system doesn't work perfectly to our ideal) and also will be the thread that I will post each days winner in.
To be eligible for prizes you have to be signed up on the donation page by logging in through steam - but also to be eligible for each days advent prize you must also log in each new day and click that day on the advent calendar to be entered into that day's draw.
Some of you might have noticed that the donation page previously said every single person who has logged in today has earned credits (most common prize), but that's not actually the intention or what has actually happened - that's just showing you've been entered into today's prize draw (we will be changing the title to make it less confusing). The entries for the draw will end at 8PM GMT each day and either myself, Conor or an admin will post that day's winner and their prize in this thread.
Other than that, it's now actually December so all you grinches (myself included a week or so back) can get into a bit more of the Christmas spirit

Outbreak Donation System
As many of you will know, we swapped to a different donation system a short while back to allow us to more effectively work perks into the mix, keep better track of what's going on and overall have better control of how we want to implement new features. These changes meant the way purchases for perks were made were changed significantly, however there was only a brief explanation and little package choice when this was first introduced.
We have now added a few more packages, put up a couple of other features and sorted out the appropriate perks and prices. This post will go over the contents of our various packages as well as explain some of the other features available on our donation page.

● JB 1 Month Package
The standard package for the Jailbreak server. You will unlock all of the following features for 1 month; all available items in the Jailbreak store (apart from VIP exclusive ware), reserved slot for the server, donator group on the forums, donator TS icon and OB event priority. You will also get an invitation to and permanent membership of the OB donator steam group to recognise your contribution to our community. The 1 month package costs £5.99.
● JB 3 Month Package
This package is an extension of the previous package but will also give you a bonus free 7 days on top of the paid 3 month time period. You will unlock all of the same features as the 1 month package for 3 months at a price of £15.99.

● VIP Package
This is the biggest package available on our store. As well as unlocking all of the perks mentioned in the 1 month package on a permanent basis, the VIP package will also earn you exclusive items such as pets, name colours and player models. A personal server connect message and custom in-game tag will be available to you. You will be invited to the VIP steam group, be added to the VIP group on the forums and given a custom TS icon of your choice. VIPs will get first access to anything we are testing out and will gain perks on any server we have at one time. VIP costs £50.
 
● JB Reserve Slot
As we had in the past, we have re-added a popular option to just purchase a reserve slot. Once our server is back in top shape and we hit peak times, it is often in high demand making it very hard to join at times. You can get past this by having a reserve slot which costs £1 per month. Unlike the other packages, reserve slot purchases can be stacked if you wish to buy a reserved slot for an extended period of time in one go.

● Outbreak Tip Jar
Outbreak needs its donations to keep the community running. Sometimes people want to donate and show their appreciation but aren't particularly fussed about the perks and they don't want to be restricted to a price. This is there for anyone who is feeling generous and wants to help out by dropping any amount they want (minimum £1) into the jar.  

● Christmas Raffle
Our new system allows us to set up raffles on the page. Between now and Christmas you can enter for a chance of unlocking the 3 month package at a much cheaper price. It costs £1 per entry and you can enter up to 5 times. We hope to be able to use this feature for special occasions and perhaps more frequently with better prizes eventually if they turn out to be popular. 
  
● OB Advent Calendar
As of tomorrow for the next 24 days of Christmas advent there will be prizes gifted randomly to individuals through our calendar. The prizes will consist of a chance to win credits, reserved slots or a slim chance of other packages on some days. To have a chance of winning something from this advent calendar all you need to do is head over to our store page and sign up by signing in through steam on it. You need to log in each day to be entered for a chance to win that days advent prize! You don't need to purchase any packages or anything like that, once you sign in you'll be a recognised user and therefore be in a chance of getting a prize over the next 24 days.

Hopefully this clarifies our package system and starts to open up a few new features to test over the coming month. You must spend between 7 and 15 pounds. Please don't go under as it's cheap, and don't go over because not everyone is made of wonga. Christmas is expensive enough as it is.
If you sign up, you must at least make a wishlist so your secret santa has a rough idea of what to get you!
If you sign up, you MUST deliver. Failing to deliver could put your membership or any status in OB at risk.

Hey guys, UFC 205 is coming soon (in 2 weeks, Sat Nov 12th) and I know there are a lot of you who watch UFC and/or Mcgregor. It's gonna be a pretty big event and deserves it's own thread and discussion. Tell me ur predictions below!

As you can see, the event is quite stacked. Alvarez vs McGregor (Lightweight Champion vs Featherweight Champion!) for Alvarez's Lightweight championship belt and Joana Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz (both undefeated, 12-0 and 10-0 respectively). Super aggresive matchup between Woodley and Thompson and of course Khabib Nurgomedov (23-0 undefeated streak in MMA) also brings excitement.

So Of course the main event is the one we really wanna watch because McGregor. It's gonna be an interesting matchup coz I have seen Alvarez fight and he is an absolute MONSTER. Just look at him:
If McGregor is gonna knock him out, it's gonna be his left hand:
In my opinion I think Alvarez is the favourite, however, Mcgregor has beaten the odds before and wouldn't be too surprised if he does it again. Just imagine if he holds 2 titles in 2 weight classes and becomes the first in the history to do so... the amount of shit he will say will be fucking entertaining.
