The Outbreak Warden Project

We are currently looking into creating a system where anyone Member+ can have a chance at creating and managing game servers for Outbreak. 
This new role/rank is going to be called "Warden" it'll be separate from the admin team and it'll be under a new set of guidelines/rules(TBC)
Anyone Member+ can apply for the role much like mod apps. 
In the application form(TBC), they will give an idea for a server with hopefully a detailed plan and give any experience they have with said idea. 
And if they are selected they will be given access to part of the Dedi to create a game server.
It'll be their Job to manage the game server for Outbreak although they would not be fully part of the admin team and would have a separate section on the forums however it would be a role where they could be promoted into the admin team as a whole.
I personally want it kept separate from the admin team as I see a "Warden" at the start at least to only be responsible for their project.
However, I can see a successful "warden" being promoted into the admin team as a whole if they so want it, it would mean they would have more responsibilities outside of their managed server.
The name was suggested to me by Chris, originally I was going to either call it OB Associate(I was watching Suits) or Server Builder or something along those lines. However when Chris suggested it felt weird yet I liked it. It embraces our origins as a JB server, it's easy to call someone the
Warden of *Game Sever* e.g. Warden of JB, Warden of MG, etc... also gets a few cheeky GOT memes in there for any true fans. 
I'm making this post to give the community an idea of what this is and some of my general ideas behind it before official creating it. It's also a chance for me to see if it's something that people actually want to do. Its still just an idea and nothing is set in stone so feel free to ask any questions!

Since my old one got deleted while relinking my steam account i thought i'd make another one, 
Most people know me as Akame (I dunno why the trademark is in my name don't ask) i used to have some posts on here before all of it got deleted for some reason, when JB wasn't dead i used to play it quite a bit and since it has died down i usually just chill in the teamspeak with cucks such as @JME@Skill and other cuckolds which i'm too lazy to tag.
Some people know me but most others might not so i thought i'd make a less than formal introduction to, well, introduce myself i guess. I'm also part taking in the ESL Summer in a week which i hope we can get far in and possibly win.
Like i said in the beginning this is more of a reintroduction than an intro so i have been here for a while even if i was unnoticed.

Outbreak Rocket League Summer Tournament 2017 Signup 
General Information
The most likely dates for the tournament will be on the 7th and 8th of July (subject to change depending on player availability). I'm going to see what dates everyone is available on so that we can have as many people play as possible. Rocket League will probably be the tournament with the least amount of players so it's pretty important to get as many people involved as I can. In terms of how the tournament will actually be run will depend on the amount of players that sign up. My plan is as follows:
10 or Less Players = Solo
10-18 Players = Doubles
18+ Players = Triples
The format of the games will also depend on how many players are involved in the tournament. The idea of games I had for each format is (colour coded): 
2 Groups of Round Robin where the top 2/4 players (depending on numbers and time) from each group qualify. Highest seed of Group 1 plays lowest seed of Group 2 and so on. 
1 Group of Round Robin where the top 4 teams qualify for the semi finals. 1st plays 4th. 2nd plays 3rd.
2 Groups of Round Robin where the top 2 teams for each group qualify. Highest seed of Group 1 plays lowest seed of Group 2 and so on.
1 Group of Round Robin where the top 4 teams qualify for the semi finals. 1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd.
Rules
There aren't really any rules to Rocket League so turn up to play and don't rage quit games are pretty much it.

I won't be able to stream any of this tournament due to being on 2mb internet connection while the tournament is running. If anyone would like to steam their POV or stream matches that would be a nice addition.
Please feel free to purchase rocket league and play in this tournament after a couple of hours play time. There is not going to be a skill requirement for this tournament but it would be nice if you at least got an hour or two of playtime before the tournament so you know the basics.

I've wanted to make this post at the start of the month but I've recently been busy with work, my apprenticeship and learning to drive that I haven't had much time to do anything but enough about me. Outbreak's current future has been quite a hot topic and I wanted to give my thoughts on some of the subjects and hopefully get yours. 
New Servers
Every time a new game comes out or something in OB gets plenty of players are interested in. Technically the first thing I'll check is can I actually create a community server after that some of the biggest things I look for are:
What will make it an OB server? When thinking about creating a new server I want it to be an OB server something special, to give it OB personality. How can OB make it fun and special to new and old players alike. 
Players Does the server have a possibility of actually getting players? Is it popular in the community currently or is something we can get players over time.
Members Can the players be turned into members. Is there a reason for new players to return to our server? Is there any benefits we can get Members without ruining anything for new players.
Monetization Usually, this is just thinking about can the server be monetized to support OB. The OB coffers always need help and I want to be able to do special things for the community like tournaments that can back to people that may not play the main OB servers.
 
There are many more reasons that I look at or for but these are some of the main ones. At least for CS Outbreak has never really had too many people that can either create plugins or want to put the effort into creating them so we've always relied upon our Outbreaks personality rather than being a server that has a lot of technical magic.
Outbreak has only every been able to be the best with Jailbreak, added our own personality making it entertaining for players, giving them reasons to stay. Being able to get a player and convert players into members all while being able to fill the OB coffers. Minigames has always been number two to Jailbreak being super fun but never as successfully as Jailbreak but still being fun for a wider amount of OB members.
We could create a few extra servers like a retake or KZ but I personally don't think that outbreaks personality can help these type of servers. I feel we'd be opening a server that so a few people can play for a really small amount of time before moving on to a well-established server that has been doing that type of server for a while. Do people go to these servers to have a conversation with people?
 
Jailbreak Sendoff?
I've been reading both sides of should we or should we not just get rid of Jailbreak. It's definitely in a bad place currently and has various problems that need to be addressed if we'd want to make a comeback of it, something I do 100% believe we can do it would just take time and effort from both our Administration team and our members to give to the OB personality. Outbreak Jailbreaks always seems to be in trends being one of the top CS JB servers to dying and then making a great comeback. Jailbreak is Outbreaks biggest money maker and I don't want to kill it off without some sort of plan to do something else where we can still be self-sufficient.
 
Outbreak but no game servers?
This is something that has been suggested to kill off our game server and just have a TS and website. Personality I don't want to go this route because I like having a direction, a server to put effort into. Even though its always a challenge with aids trolls, hackers, ddosing little nerds I still love meeting new players, new people, new personality's whether it's only one great person out of a 100 It's still worth it for me.
With this in mind some of you have suggested downsizing getting rid of the dedi and just have individual servers for each server OB server we have (Website/TS/Gameserver) and we would cut our costs by around 50% while would be amazing BUT the fact I still get emails with "Detection of an attack on IP address" makes me really hesitant to doing this. One of the biggest killers to Outbreak has been DDossing as not only does it stop people from player our server but it seems to destroys the morale of the whole community (Definitely mine at least)
 
The OB Summer Games
This summer I'm hoping to get a few tournaments as they are always fun for everyone, I personally don't play or are even into rocket league or hearthstone but I'd still enjoy watching OB in a competitive scene. Currently, I want to do a Hearthstone, Rocket League, League of Legends and CSGO tournaments. If there is any more you'd like to see msg me.

Thanks for those who've spent time reading through this thread and I know a lot of people actually care about Outbreak in their own way. That love being here with their friends and although it corny as fuck... a our dysfunction family. I overall think we've improved so much from what we started as and I goal is to with your help to keep being better. I do believe that we all need to take a bit of time thinking about the way we do things and how they might come across, I know I'm guilty of making mistakes but let us try and be better in the way we do things.
I do want to give a massive thank you to everyone that every given time to improve outbreak. Whether its just from being a great member representing Outbreak. Putting efforts into an event or getting new and old players alike playing new things. Or being part of the administration team trying to the Outbreak welcoming and friendly for everyone no matter what.

Obviously the right way to go with OB is to turn it into a gaming org and sponsor a top CS team. We've already debuted our first team at a LAN which was streamed on twitch. It's true we didn't get the W but what org wins the major in their debut? With a bit more player development, I see OB as a top 20 HLTV team by the end of next year. Then Conor can roll in the domino's money as all the OB merch is being sold.

If you want to attract new core members you need a way to do this. JB has always been the best way for us, but sadly it is dead and will likely stay that way. There needs to be some clear direction/goal for the community else it won't expand. OB will never die because we have a strong core as fluxy said.
Picture OB as a vacuum cleaner. Use the nozzle (JB/other methods) to suck dust/shit (regulars) into the vacuum storage bag (ts) where the rest of the dust/shit (core members) reside.
Without power to the mains (higher ups), we will just be stale dust chilling in a storage bag.

Ah k so if you are here to play the server then you shouldn't be here at all. Id argue that you base the community on "core members" solely and don't see the potential of attracting new members constantly to the community. My idea of this community is based on players I would of regularly played with when I joined the server which wouldnt of consisted of too many core members and each person would view the community differently based on how  they engage but you seem hell bent on having a blinkered view that core members no longer want to play it so server must go. Like I said there's a reason other JB servers are still thriving.

Unless the plan for a JB resurgence in the summer involves advertising then I can't see how this will happen.
OB's version of JB is much more people focused with a lack of over the top plugins, this is the way I prefer it to be when I am playing. In general the demographic you need to have a successful server would be primarily young people who would think these qualities are a negative.
I don't think we will ever see JB like it was, even when it was at it's peak it was slow growing server with a steady flow of regulars. To get this back you would literally need to start at 0 again.
Hold the funeral event, get all the old faces on for one last blast at it and then call it a day and possibly revisit the idea in the future when a clear direction has been put out.
It's not that effort was withdrawn from JB and put into MG, the drive for JB to be successful again was lost weeks/months ago.
Sure MG put JB in a fucking coffin but it would have been inevitable, this just speeded things up.

Retake servers are for warm up, you don't spend all day on them. Whilst playing on mg you put time into the server to unlock perks and clothing accessories which you can come back too and have fun with everyday. You spend time on minigame servers to chill out with friends and have a laugh, thats why a retake server would be a waste of time.
Instead just invest more time on mg and jb.

I used to have contact owner to the LANII Community Retakes servers and I was told they make hella money from revenue. This could give a really good boost if we can advertise and make the server popular.

Theres plenty of retake servers, why does ob need one.
