  1. I have been playing many squad matches with my housemates since September and not only did I get my 1st squad win today but I got my second immediately after. This is a great feeling, especially after all this time of not winning Squads.
  2. I saw evil scarecrow at my universities student union just before I graduated. Some footage of me dancing around like a buffoon has emerged, if anyone wants to try and spot me in the crowd. Also the robot dancing was insanely brilliant.
  3. Recently my spotify has been filled with either great songs, like this, or covers of great songs.

    New surf video

Amazing! I've always loved surf and you've mastered it.
  5. I have just seen the latest Marvel film Black Panther. It is a great addition to the MCU and I'd recommend watching it. Have you seen the film yet? What did you think (With a spoiler tag)? Are you hyped for the next Avengers film?
  6. Hey Gaz. I hope you're well. We're in a similar situation as when you become owner in 2013. JB is proving difficult to populate and we're mostly on TS, many of us holding out hope for discord & perhaps a game server although we're not quite sure what type of server to get.
  7. Congratulations Keiji! you're my #1 Victoria player. Also i didn't know about this site and I looked myself up. Apparently I am the #8 on the original Insurgency mod. https://steamladder.com/ladder/playtime/17700/
  8. @Chris Lord It's a good start to the selfie game but I'd say look into the camera & smile.
  9. Best overall player of PUBG Worst overall player of PUBG Poorest excuse for bying in PUBG
  10. This seems like a good idea however within OB this kind of plan doesn't play out well. Historically this has been because of two groups; There are always a group of players within the community that are afraid of change. They will always push back on it, fearing that it will tear apart the community. They will shy away from the risk of change in favour of keeping what is already established. With unofficial servers there will be a foul split between these players and the ones on the server which you do not want to see. The admin team have always push back on unofficial servers, especially if they're doing well. Instead of seeing them as a great path to take the community down they tend to fear a loss of power, stir up hatred towards them, try to shut them down and steer clear of them in the future. As such admin support is key in setting up a long term OB server. Once the admin team have decided on this it generally settles the players that are worried and we can actually step into the next stage for the community. This isn't some sort of blame game, this is just how it has always been. Throughout every major change in the community and every admin team we've seen these two groups. We've all been in these groups, I know I was when CSS JB closed down in 2013 however we are still here 5 years later. I wouldn't say GMod Dark RP was a step forward but it brought about the necessary change for us to be successful throughout 2015 and 2016. It is time we do the same in 2018.
  11. Gaming communities have changed quite a lot in recent years. This is because games have changed, streaming has become massive and esports have too. Looking over our current Server/Forum/Teamspeak/Server model we have fallen far from what is expected from a gaming community. These are my top suggestions for bringing OB into 2018. Discord I understand that many in the community are die hard Teamspeak fans. Teamspeak has been the backbone of the community whenever our game servers fail however it is time we step into the modern era and get discord. Discord has features that we currently use Teamspeak, the forums shoutbox and whatsapp to achieve but it does this with an improved UI, free hosting and better management. For those who still have discordphobia here is an image of what an OB discord server could look like. Events Around September I attempted to push the community into playing regular events. Ultimately I gave up when a lack of support from an event team resulted in a very shoddy event taking place. Despite this I still think events are key in gaming communities and if other community members are dedicated enough to help out then I would too. This being said I do not think our old event system was the best, there are several key things we can do the help improve it, such as: Rewards for event winners, such as skins and games. Team & solo events Cooperative & competitive events Hour long & month long events Tournament events If we have a lot of varied events then there is a chance for everyone to join in and have fun, which is an essential part to the community. Servers A huge benefit of having varied events is that you effectively have a rolling server however there is still nothing wrong with a permanent server. They are a good stable position for players to join, the community to monetise and to bring new players in. We have proven that we can populate servers when we need however our problem is keeping a self sustaining server population. We could look into trying to encourage our current community to join our servers or we can look at servers that require less people to have an enjoyable experience. In the past we've tried minigames, jailbreak, surf, dark rp and minecraft, all of which had their own success however their main issues are they require a lot of admin and an interesting player base. Perhaps we should look at 1v1, retakes and arena servers for much more self contained experiences. The main problem with these are that it's harder to capture a new player into the community when they don't have to interact with us in the same way, however if we're not willing to interact with our own server like we used to then we must move on. Another key aspect we've got the remember is that players in CSGO don't want such a varied gameplay anymore. They want to play competitive and anything that can give them an edge when it comes to that. Unfortunately that means community servers with these are incredibly over saturated, such like dust2 servers used to be in CSS. Whether that is something we want to head towards isn't something I'd support but we may have to look at it considering the attitude of the current CSGO community.

  14. You've been around for a decent amount of time and have really improved your forum presence, which has been difficult over the last year or so. +1 & good luck
  15. Been listening to this pretty much every morning because it is in my head, then it stays in my head because I listen to it early. This is a vicious but wonderful cycle.
  16. Been listening to a lot of aerosmith and queen recently

Wow. Congrats! It's got a lot of surf sections which look fun but then I can't do the long jump bits so I couldn't get to that point :(
  18. I've seen you on the JB server every so often. Nice to see you've joined the forums.
  19. You served your time well, welcome back to being a member. Thank you!

  21. Good job organising this event! Congratulations to Team 5!
  22. If you want a respectable chance at coming back create an unban post. Give us as much detail as possible about your misdeeds and how you've learnt from them. Be as truthful as possible and I trust the admin team will appropriately review your case. If you just want to stir the shitpot then post in the general section. Lie, scream and come up with a #hashtag for the community to use against you. You can still use option 1, it's your choice..
