On settings go to GAME DVR, change the setting to off:

this limits your frames to 30fps (Well did for me) and should fix it :)

I dont use xbox

There's a lot of unnecessary information posted on this thread which has nothing to do with how much FPS you're getting.

- Defragging your hard drive will not give you higher FPS in CS:GO. It is more likely to improve loading times, but active content is stored in RAM. Similarly, deleting junk and temp files only contribute to general system loading performance.

- Your GPU voltages won't have changed on their own, so don't bother checking those

- As many have said, check drivers and keep them up-to-date.

- Windows updates aren't likely to have made any difference, unless they've automatically sourced another driver for something.

- Does this happen on all maps?

The bottom is about trying to figure out what might have changed to cause the frame rate drops. Is this change sudden or gradual? Perhaps a fan is clogged with dust and now thermal throttling is occurring because your system is overheating. You need to revert that change or overcome it somehow. All the suggestions are good for improving general performance, but your issue is frame rate, so focus on what affects that. With any Steam game the first and easiest thing to try is verifying game cache.

You might be suprised what kind of bullshit causes a pc to run slower, in the year i've worked at a pc repair shop i've seen the craziest shit, including random voltage changes. And the point of defragging the HDD in her case is not to get higher fps but it might find some files that is interferring with eachother which can cause a problem. What i can say about problems like these when from 1 day to another day the fps drops massively, it's useally something that changed in the system (not hardware) which causes pc performance issues.
