Biggles 44 Posted June 2, 2015 So around 8 years ago I started playing in a community on SA:MP, it lasted for 2-3 years and people rarely keep in touch until recently. So I thought it would be fun to dig up (if you have any) old pictures of your past communities and share them :smile1: We were a very tight nit bunch and never aimed to populate our server, infact we would just abuse people that came on, sometimes people slipped through the cracks and joined us. Had a lot of fun as a little squeeker coming of age. (When we first got a website and everyone used the same signature) We wrote a mod and designated sections of the map as our own at one point, that was a lot of fun The rest are from the facebook page we made to keep in touch (below: Niko, the community founder and creator of loads of custom game modes we used in our script for the server, the result was all the fun we had.) Biggles 44 Posted June 2, 2015 I played CoD2 competitively when I was younger too, I was like a squeeky pasha, Its a shame it died and became overrun with hackers Quote Share this post Link to post
UnSeen 1,036 Posted June 2, 2015 Back in my mlg calla dooty MW2 days I was part of a variety of teams, but the one group I always stuck to [and where I met some of the people who I still play league, csgo etc with today] was in {OyN} - OwnedYouNerds (Don't cringe too much ty). OyN was always more tight than other teams as the teams only cared about who was good at games whereas OyN was just a group of mates who pubstomped like fuck. Shame I don't have the screenshot of the game where I got 200+ kills in a domination match and got a 103 streak, 12 year old me thought I was a god lmao. Other than calla dooty klanz; I was part of a larger LoL UK community but it wasn't very tight knit 1k+ members, an AoE3 community which I was in when I was about 8 and various other bits and bobs. I still have contact with those who I was closest to - but others I'll never get to speak to again, which is a shame. Quote Share this post Link to post

Wist 376 Posted June 3, 2015 Was a member of iNext, probably one of the most influential CoD4 modding clans ever, and my first (serious) community. Being in iNext was a fucking blast, I loved every second of it. We made and mapped virtually all of the most famous CoD4 mods: RotU Deathrun Soccer CJ KtK ZombieMod Infection and a few others. A bunch of maps I made/collaborated on include: super_mario (yes that is sonic) the early zombie drop map deathrun_pace this is the first build of my cj map collab with a guy called Sacred... not my finest mapping The only working screenshots of dr_sewers I can get... I was very excited to build this map dr_quick, my first real attempt mapping created this monstrosity.. I don't think it ever went live Early builds of dr_annihilator... Had a lot to learn still Another recycled image of supermario rotu_tothemoon Our working CoD4 minigun later build of dr_quick... still horrible, nolightmap Slightly smoother textures though Had a blow-the-wall animation and everything! Zombie mod early build... bugged xp dr finish screen dr_bunker, the only screenshot that seems to exist... annoyingly, VERY early development stage deathrun sometime more zombiemod Some C++ string exploit I found in CoD4 and used to bug servers the fuck out and troll Custom keyboard I was iNext for about two years, until we all hit school/university and went our separate ways. Miss it a lot! Also, since shark did his plug, here's me vs WNx, a semi-pro team... At least 3/5 of that team were semi-pro at the time Quote Share this post Link to post

Popey456963 17 Posted June 9, 2015 DayZ is an open world survival horror video game in development by Bohemia Interactive and the stand-alone version of the award-winning mod of the same name. The objective of the game is to survive, whilst other players and the environment attempts to kill you. It started off as an ARMA mod, but eventually became it's own game, as the popularity of it grew. Quote Share this post Link to post

Iszuka™ 10 Posted June 9, 2015 I didn't actually really know what Day Z was so I'm glad I do now :) Heheh, you being sarcastic or are you just a little bit sheltered? :3 It's one of those games that's better in its early years. In the days before it became popular and before the development team were blinded by money. We took it upon ourselves to police the server we were on and go hunt bandits, following military tactics as a team. Good times. Quote Share this post Link to post
Gaz 13 Posted June 12, 2015 My first community was an AOE clan. We had ICQ and Yahoo messenger to keep in contact. Redfire I think it was called. Eventually unified with a clan called unity. Quote Share this post Link to post
