  1. Talking about exams being done, I'm so happy. Probably failed a good half of them but, you know, what can you do? Except for revise, of course. Nobody wants to do that.
  2. Embarrassing ourselves was the best bit for those of us who aren't great singers, we need more events like this ^^ Really great event, glad I could actually participate in one for once (usually timing is awkward), simple events where funny individuals are the stars of the show is what we need more of.
  3. Quite satisfying just going sniper and walking around, shooting people that can't see you.
  4. Doing coding at GCSE, currently just refining our task one and starting our task two. Don't know as much as some of the crazy computer scientist guys here, but I do try :D. Coding is lots of fun and quite interesting, and I'm trying to learn more, but mostly I just have fun making weird but simple codes. Made a code where you gave a number, and then listed every number up to that number, whilst playing "fizzbuzz", if anyone knows that game. Very simply, but I like it. ^^
  5. A quick question, does our code have to be completely error-free? EG, if we're asking them to enter a number and entering a letter breaks the code but otherwise it works, is that valid or not?
  6. Seen you around and played smite with you, really cool guy and I hope you're here to stay. Welcome ^^
  7. When playing video games, we all have those things that we think would be really cool if we could achieve. Whether it is watching pro players and wishing you could play like that, or having something insanely rare occur. From these, we get our goals for video games, the things we want to one day be able to achieve, or the things we just wish we could do. So what do you guys have as your best video game achievements? Whether funny, lucky, insane amounts of skill or just your first baby steps into a game, what are you most proud of? For me, it'd have to be one of two things. Either getting a penta kill on smite back in season two with mercury, who is still my favourite God, or finally getting twelve wins in arena (even though there were two losses) after over six hundred wins in arena. I'm sure you guys have some cool achievements, and any awesome stories are welcome too.
  8. Don't think Conor wants skins, it's been mentioned before and as somebody mentioned, skins aren't going to fund the server. The other ideas though, like pay by phone, seem fine as long as they aren't too hard to implement.
  9. Really hyped about the new hearthstone expansion that is coming out late April/early May. Loving the new standard format that they are introducing.
  10. Tried this game out a little bit and it's loads of fun. The best bit is probably how, even as a tiny snake, you can kill somebody 100x your size.
  11. This right here is just gold. Frame it or something, everyone needs to read this. On the actual topic though, can't say much about you seeing as I haven't really met you myself but the opinions of the masses gives a good idea. Personally, I have never seen a moderator abuse to the point where they will slay you just for killing them, and really, even if it is happening, you're going to need some evidence. Although I doubt it, there is the possibility some of the things you have mentioned do happen, in which case you need to get evidence rather than creating a thread about it. If anything, creating a thread will just lower others' opinions of you, making them think you're a troll.
  12. Generally a really cool guy on the teamspeak and decent activity on all three platforms. Don't see you rage much either, so good luck ^^
  13. Seen you around a bit on the server and you generally seem to be a friendly guy ^^ Maybe throw in some more information about yourself, like hobbies? We want to get to know you a little better.
  14. sorry mum You'll say the full thing, "mother", or I'll grab my wooden spoon.
  15. Would recommend not posting something like a member app on April 1st. You seem like a nice guy, obviously we haven't always been on the best of terms but from when i've spoken to you on teamspeak you seem to be a cool, intelligent person. Good luck.
  16. Im sure [Paradoxxx] would have something to say about that. No tension around here. Sup VENGA, maybe one day i'll actually get to meet you.
  17. I am an ex-13 year old shitkid and I agree with this post.
  18. midrange isn't cancer bro unless something has changed face hunter was the cancer for the longest of times before it became secret paladin I do enjoy control more though, Handlock, Control Warrior and Freeze Mage were my main decks. I agree it's not P2W, but the amount of cards you need to be viable requires you to put a LOT of time in, or some money. Especially as expansions are released, sure this is kinda diluted by the new Wild/Standard system, but nonetheless. Big names have done F2P runs where they have achieved legend, but these people are playing the game 24/7 with a high skill level. I also dislike how instead of staying on top of balancing cards every month or so, they decide to remove a lot of them, make a few balance changes, then create a brand new game mode. So you have to either play standard, where a lot of the cards you may have paid for or crafted are now useless and can't be played, or play Wild, where there's been no balance changes (as far as I know). Not to mention how they actually balance cards i.e: Starving Buzzard, Warsong Commander Just make them fucking useless When I say midrange, I mean I threw in savanna highmane and a flare (Because secret pally was pissing me off) and went face. I believe there are quite a few balance changes coming to classic cards, but that is just because some would be too strong in standard, so yeah, there are probably still going to be lots of op cards in Wild. But hey, it's called wild for a reason :D
  19. Can't say I know too much about the tension between vets/mods/members/whoever but just thought I'd throw my opinion out here. What I think was attempted here was to, effectively, state that instead of having veterans appreciated for being in the veteran group, they should simply be appreciated from people knowing about what they have done, and not just looking at the fact they are in the veteran group and saying "wow, they've been here awhile" I think there may have been a slight overreaction to being removed from the veteran group, because veterans may feel like the tag was special in some sort of way, representing how important they were to the community. But the idea is that the veteran group was simply for long-time members, it was not meant to be special in any way. Yes, people may have looked up to veterans and realized they played a big part in the community, but surely they should be able to do that just by knowing how much the individual person has done. Now, although I've tried to say what I think this little update was about, that's not to say I agree with it. Yes, after being in the community for a little bit you should probably know how significant each veteran has been without looking at their tag, but you can't just expect new people to join and instantly know how much somebody means to the community. The veteran group was there because, generally, after being a member for two years, you would have contributed quite a bit. I think there is nothing wrong with having active long-time members having their own groups. After reading what some other people have written, I'm not sure how much is true but some of what is written is quite shocking. I'm not sure if any mods are under performing right now, so I can't say anything on that, but surely the idea of having applications and trials for moderators is to get the best possible, and if you don't have enough mods, surely that is better than having some terrible mods. If any mods are too afraid to deal with veterans who are acting inappropriately, they need to learn that they actually have, not only responsibility, but to put it simply, a bit of power from being a mod. The only thing veterans have over mods when it comes to running the server and sorting stuff out is experience and their voice, so mods certainly shouldn't be afraid to sort out veterans. I don't know about any hate between Conor and the veterans, but clearly if it is so, it is unprofessional and dislike between persons should not affect decisions on the server, and certainly not people who aren't directly involved. I feel that the veteran group was fine the way it was, but this change is still far from "punishment". The veteran group itself was never actually relevant, it was always the veterans themselves, and some people need to realize that. Yes, it is easier for newer members to realize who was important to the server through those who have the veteran tag, which is partly why I think the change should be reverted, but the change is in no way a sort of downgrade or whatever. Veterans are still exactly who they were before, all that is being done is that they are being recognized if they take an active part in the community, which isn't that bad.
  20. Skillershark#2198 Although it can be a bit pay to win, I've still had loads of fun on this game and played it for quite a while now. Can't wait until the next expansion when I can start making some C'thun decks :D. I used to play paladin a fair bit, midrange and control, but now I've sort of moved away from that and moved into some control decks that player bigger minions, like handlock and control warrior, but I've also played a bit of freeze mage. I even have a "midrange" (cancer) hunter deck every time I've got a small losing streak and I wanna just go rush somebody down.
  21. It's rather ironic I want to +1 this. Although if we want to reduce shitposting and still have a +1 system on things such as member apps we could turn all member apps into poll and have users vote +1 or -1. Seems like a really good idea, people can still voice their opinions without all the shitposts. I'd say that with whatever you vote, you need to put a reason and mods can see who voted and with what reason, which also eliminates the point of just voting with no reason. Although, with such a system, I think it would be beneficial to allow the person who posted the application to see the votes and what has been said in the votes, so they know what people think they need to improve on and what they have been doing well so far. That is, after all, the point of allowing people to post on member applications in the first place.
  22. Oh wow, a new person to the forums, what a pleasure to see you! You do not, in any way, seem like a troll and I'm sure we'll get along just fine ^^
  23. Whoever did the camera work should be given a prize.. Or stabbed.. Whatever stops them from trying it again. Either way, looks like it was a really cool event and seems like you guys did a really good job of thinking of an idea and hosting it. Hopefully i'll be there next time ^^
