HoneyMuffin 0 Posted November 11, 2014 I find it funny that people blamed Surf for the low population and the eventual death on JB when everyone would go Mixing leaving JB with low population. No offence but it wasn't just surf causing the issues. Even mixing shouldn't have killed JB. CSS was dying. It didn't help things. But it's good that JB is back and kicking. But yeh CSS is dying. Original CS has more players than it. (though I think it may always have) Quote Share this post Link to post

VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted November 11, 2014 It didn't help, but it also didn't matter. JB would not have survived anyway. I'm glad JB is back up on a more lively platform though. Quote Share this post Link to post

w33zy 1,523 Posted November 11, 2014 counter strike has never ever had so much players since forever. cs:go is growing so fast its sick. and overall 1.6 had always more players then cs:s i think. Quote Share this post Link to post

Lewis 1,276 Posted November 13, 2014 Although CSGO has waaaay more players, realistically CS:S probably still has more people playing PB. First - Because they've played it for a while and haven't made the transaction to GO Second - CS:S works more as a game for mods, whereas GO places much more emphasis on competitive and official valve servers Third - On css to get to find a server you actually have to click find servers and scroll through the list, people are more likely to find JB that way, cos on CSGO not many people click browse community servers, they just find a server and play some casual or demo or whatever But we are newly opened, as people spread the word there's no reason it can't become as big if not bigger than some of the surviving large CS:S pb communities edit - as for the nature of this thread, not surf anytime soon Quote Share this post Link to post
VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted November 13, 2014 But we are newly opened, as people spread the word there's no reason it can't become as big if not bigger than some of the surviving large CS:S pb communities Picked out the operant piece of language. Comparing CSS and CSGO is like comparing Britain versus China respectively, 40 years ago: it's clear where the most opportunity for growth is. Quote Share this post Link to post

Sure CSGO has more potential for growth due to all the majors and shit bringing people in. But it'll be a while before top CSGO pb communities are having 40 people on every afternoon+evening. Last time I checked CS:S only had French, German and other foreign servers. The only populated and English server was HeLL's but they're terrible. Quote Share this post Link to post
