  1. Really cool, friendly, easy-going guy who's willing to have a bit of fun. Active on all platforms, and rarely toxic. Good luck with the app, you deserve member ^^
  2. Player Name: Skillershark Date of Birth: 21/3/2001 Age: 14, 15 in two months (UnSeen said he'd nominate me :D) Country/Location: England SteamID: STEAM_0:1:54509054 Games Played: I enjoy playing a multitude of games ranging from Gmod, CS:GO to Rocket League and Borderlands 2. I also have quite a few random indie games that I haven't played in a while, like King Arthur's Gold and Pixel Piracy. Roughly how long have you been playing our server(s)? Since some time late September. I've got close to 200 hours on the server on the names "Skillershark" and "Bob Ross" What qualities can you bring to Outbreak?: I try to be as nice of a person as I can to everyone I interact with, whilst still trying to have some fun and jokes. I'm not offended easily, or at least I don't show offense easily, and I like to think I have a decent sense of humor.I contribute on the forums a fair bit and I have recently spent much more time on TS than I use to. On the server, I make an effort not to use my mic unless it is necessary or it wouldn't affect much when other people are trying to command, and I try to command myself regularly as I consider myself a half-decent CT, and having rounds where you don't rebel every round can be fun sometimes. Tell us a little something about yourself: Well, I realized I forgot to put my name in my introduction post, so my full name is Joshua Crous (although I prefer Josh). Gaming is and has been my life for quite a while, ever since we got a play station two. I used to play football when I wass younger, and played for around 4 years, before switching over to rugby as the secondary school I was going to only did rugby until year nine. I'm quite into rugby now, and I just love the rush of adrenaline you get whilst trying to win a match, and it's the same sort of competitiveness that got me into CS:GO. After playing CS:GO for over a year now, I'm currently at Master Guardian Elite, although I don't always just play comp, and I enjoy more casual things like, jailbreak, bhop and kz. My favourite subjects at school are currently Maths, Physics and Computer science, basically everything that involves numbers, equations and logic. That's pretty much me. If you're going to -1 me or don't want me to get member, please drop some constructive criticism, I'd love to know how to improve.
  3. It's a shame nobody is joining the game. It really does seem like a cool idea, and it's not hard to put a little effort into something once a week. It's not even something you have to commit to, if you get bored you can leave it at any point and just come back if you ever feel like doing so.
  4. I mean, you seem to be a cool guy, and I know the feel of being a bit shy due to something that affects your speech, but you need to try your best to integrate. If somebody makes fun of you, stand up for yourself and people will respect you all the more for it. I don't think most people would insult you for a bit of a shudder anyway, as it's a little bit of a dick move. Just try and get to know more people, post a few more posts(maybe even start some threads of your own). Once you've done that, I think you should be fine, you don't seem to be much of a troll or an asshole. Good luck anyway.
  5. Nah, they're two very different sports. Different styles of play, different tactics, different rules, etc.
  6. Gotta agree with this thread, rocket league is really fun. Even more fun when you have some friends to play with ^^
  7. Great to see you made an introduction post David! When I used to play football, I also supported Arsenal, so that's cool that you support them :). Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  8. To be honest, I put in a lot more thought intp what I was buying than was completely necessary. I also write out quite a lot more than I needed to, to make everything more understandable and to make it easier to find any of my mistakes. Keep in mind what I wrote covers my turn for a week, yes it may seem complicated but there is definitely potential for some fun to be had, and I think it fits decently enough on the forums where all the information is written down and easy to access.
  9. join Aegina begin First Phase: buy 1 wine from Aegina - totalling to 7500 coins (7500 * 1), 2500 coins and 19 storage space left buy 2 grain from Athens - totalling to 20 coins (10 * 2), 2480 coins and 17 storage space left buy 4 timber from Aegina - totalling to 240 coins (60 * 4), 2240 coins and 13 storage space left buy 4 bricks from Aegina - totalling to 280 coins (70 * 4), 1960 coins and 9 storage space left buy 9 pottery from Aegina - totalling to 1620 coins (180 * 9), 340 coins and 0 storage space left end First Phase. begin Second Phase: (lets hope I get this right) sell 1 wine to Athens - totalling to 9000 coins (9000 x 1), 9340 coins and 1 storage space left keep 2 grain for maintenace of both offices - not sure when they get used up, but two is enough I believe use up 4 timber and 4 bricks to upgrade both offices - upgraded to 12 storage space each, 9 storage space left(excluding office upgrades) sell 9 pottery to Athens - totalling to 2250 coins (250 * 9), 11590 coins and 18 storage space left(excluding office upgrades) end Second Phase. End of first week = 11590 coins, two lvl 2 offices (one in Athens, one in Aegina), 2 grain for maintenance. Only storage space used up is for grain Hopefully I've got that all right Popey, if not, please do correct me ^^
  10. It may have helped if you explained a little more on how to start, what you start with (money), etc. I'd be interested to join if I knew how :) EDIT: Haha, sorry Popey, should've read the thread more clearly. Just a few more question though, is the maintenance used up at the end of each week or the start of each week? If you don't pay maintenance, what happens? Does the interest for loans happen every week, can loans be payed back before the time or is it the exact time it must be payed back? Finally, if somebody accepts your trade does that come in to effect in the second phase or can you trade items to another player for money, buy more items and then sell them again to the player all in the same phase?
  11. Meh, the last thread was nearly a year ago, I think enough time has passed :D
  12. So I was wondering how everyone here came up with their names. Online names can mean a lot more than what you see, there can be some inside meaning special to one or more people, or it can be something from a foreign language. Some people have names that use their first name right after an adjective, but there are also lots of names that, if asked, I would have no clue as to how people came up with them. Do any of you guys have any cool backstories for how you got your name? Skillershark is pretty boring, I simply thought sharks were cool (and still do), and thought "omg if i put skill in my name i'll be the best 360 noscoper". I'm sure some of you guys have some really interesting stories, can't wait to hear them.
  13. I've been thinking about making this thread for a while, and thought I might aswell do it now. It may not seem like anything massive, but it means i've started off on the wrong side of some really cool people, and I don't really want it to be that way. So when I joined the forums, I just wanted to contribute. I had never really been an active member of a forum before and so I didn't really know how to get integrated with the community, meaning I just decided to try and make some posts and put some effort in. After posting plenty of posts in a short amount of time, I realized that a few people were openly disliking how much I posted new topics, and I understand now it really wasn't so necessary to post as many topics as I did. I never posted a topic without putting a little bit of effort in or a little bit of thought, but I did post way too many and possibly too much for how simple some of the posts could have been. I understand some of you might have no clue what i'm on about, but this post is just to those who disliked how much I posted (and I know those people exist). Hopefully, we can sort of "restart", and instead of you thinking of me as that one idiot that spams the forums, you'll just think of me as you might anyone else in the community. All in all, sorry for posting so much, and I hope I can try again, because i'm sure some of the people who disliked what I did are really cool people who I would love to be friends with.
  14. A good guy, certainly behaves himself and is very active, don't see any reason why he doesn't deserve member. Good luck :)
  15. Had to be Heroes of Might and Magic, not exactly sure which one but one of the earlier ones. Was just an amazing game, I played it all the time whether it was with a mate, against my dad or just single player.
  16. That, good sir, sounds completely and utterly illogical. There is only one explanation that could explain this man's ability to slide across the floor like this: WITCHCRAFT! I must agree, let us burn the witch at once.
  17. Hey dude, seen you on the server quite a bit before, nice to see you back. Hope you enjoy your stay.
  18. Third time lucky right? You seem like a cool guy and definitely put some effort in, so good luck with the app.
  19. As everyone else says, nice to see you've made a forums account, also great to see some more rugby player :D Hope you enjoy your stay.
  20. Frankly, I don't care about post count. I enjoy making these posts. Yes I may post them a little too much, and I understand that now, but rather than implying that I'm trying to spam my post count you could just put "Hey, try not to post too many threads" or something of the sort.
  21. So recently I've started playing Magic: The Gathering, and I've realized how different TCG's can be, especially when comparing ones from the internet and ones in real life. Playing Magic, I've realized that there is almost no RNG, aside from what you draw and what your opponent draws, which is going to be an aspect in almost every card game. So what do you prefer in a card game? A lot of RNG or mostly skill(baring in mind that with little RNG, games can be won just on what you draw, considering there is nothing like hero powers or extra mana every turn to pull you out of deep ditches)? What's your favourite card game? Try to explain it a little, rather than just "hearthstone". Do you like it because of the randomness, or are there some really fun interactions? I'll start it off. Personally, I prefer less RNG because my RNG always seems to be shit(never lucky). I played Hearthstone for ages, but now that I'm playing Magic I feel like it can be a lot more fun and so I'll have to prefer Magic over Hearthstone simply because of all the cool mechanics and whatnot. There are a lot of random specific things in Magic, like a minion that can't be blocked by a specific token, but most of the time they're explained so it's not hard to understand. EDIT: Not sure if this should be in the games section or this section, if someone could move it appropriately I'd be grateful :)
  22. Another Josh to add to the squad, welcome! :D
  23. Welcome to the forums, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.
