Storm

Since I joined OB(actually it's on the 3rd of June but joined the servers and stuff days before so...) and I don't know why, I wanted to share with you my experience so far in OB :D
It all started when I was bored browsing cmmunity servers and saw a JB server in which I had low ping so I joined. Jokingly, I said when joining: "Hello, my <n-word>s!" and instantly got muted by sjnokstaart. He was the first OB member I met and got on well with him, so over the days I noticed some events stuff but I didn't know anything so I joined the forums too and from the forums I moved to teamspeak. I didn't know almost anyone so I used to stay in the lobby because I was too shy to join a room with a lot of people, but after some time I decided to join a room and damn, I hadn't laughed so much for some time, I don't remember what they were talking about but it was quite funny. So I met gaffeR, venga, mintlou, stiqqy and sony (I met sony in-game and his favourite insult is inbred fuck :D), all of them awesome people. Later, I met Unseen and noticed he is a fan of Warhammer like me and we had some knowledge in common and our favourite sentence is: "Blood for the blood God!". Also, until I heard the voice of venga I thought he was a girl, don't ask me why.
So with the time I was very comfortable with OB already and familiarized with members and mods, and people started calling me mexican storm, just in case anyone asks, no, I don't find it annoying, in fact, it's actually funny because people play south american songs and stuff for the laughs, funny meme tbh. It also helped to distinguish me from the old storm now called Iszuka.
I know I haven't been present for the last month but I've been worried with university stuff and wanted to share some time with my friends too so I almost didn't have time to join TS to at least say hi so for that I say sorry!
So this is it. Just wanted to share with you my awesome experience I've had in OB. I know I haven't named a lot of people who I also like a lot (#nohomo) so I'll put them down here, if I don't name you don't worry, I also like you or I  don't, we'd have to discuss that.

- Fluxy, for being le famous stoner, Warhammer lover, a cat lover and of course, a pretty awesome scotsman!
- Weezy, for being an overall very friendly guy, almost never gets mad, and is dutch. Being dutch always gives points :)
- Jamie, although can be easily irritated, he's actually a pretty nice guy and very good in CS, he sometimes gets mad at me but I know he's not really mad ^^
- Jak, for being nice but at the same time a cunt to me, stop muting me, I can learn to use push-to-talk ffs!
- Chris, although you love baiting me and everyone you know, I know you can be a nice guy and last days you've been pretty chill so I name you here you lil' shit!
- landshark, MIIIIIIDGE, can be a cunt, but like Chris, he's been pretty friendly lately, well, he's always been nice but he also likes being a bit of a cunt. But don't we all?
- Biggles, you massive troll and still a good guy! Fck you. Sorry if I put you the wrong colour, I don't know if you're a member, a vet, or a donator.
 
And that's all folks, sorry if I didn't put you on this list, don't kill me for that, just wanted to get this out of my chest, I just wanted to share with you this because of all the communities I've known (all of them Spanish) this is the one, haven't stayed for so long in a community and I don't plan to leave anytime soon or later.

Lmao, nice bump, so much cringe reading this thread which I made a year ago. I like your updates Storm, keep them up. C is very similar to Java it seems. I have almost finished my first year at Uni studying Computer Science, 1 more exam to go. I absolutely love it. Here is a shitty game I made for my mini project for one of the modules (Object-Oriented Programming) using Java:

So I just saw a thread suggesting a coding, etc section and made me remember about this thread. So I promised pics of what I'd do along the year and didn't post shit of the second half of the year so here it goes:
1. So in a subject we basically have to program a couple of things on arduinos and in the last project we had to use a speaker, a numeric keyboard, a couple of 7segment displays and 2 buttons.  The project consisted in making a game in which the code generated a random number and with the keyboard you have to guess the number (it follows a pattern so the odds are not disastrous) and the typical  stuff about: if you fail the speaker will make a sound, if you win, another sound, etc. I haven't got pics, but I'll post them laster.

2. In another subject we had to program database from the start (design it,  tabulate it, etc). I've only got pictures of the design:

3. Program a B+ binary tree. This is by far the hardest shit I've done so far. 800  hundred lines of code, but in a team of 6 people, so it isn't a complete suicide.

3. And for the end, as last project in another subject we had to program a linux shell copy in C. It may sound hard but it was kinda easy. Code screenshot:
The code is obsolete, I know /bin/ is useless and screws up the program.

I do think there are loads of pretty cool features that will take some time to get used too. I have to say Im not too keen on the member reputations and stuff, I think it will be abused. Also, the mobile browsing is not a fun one, at least I find anyway. 
 
Another thing that mintlou mentioned and I totally agree, when browsing topics there is far far far too much space in the middle of the screen. It looks like it was designed for this guy
