GTA V Online is not working for me right now, probably due to Rockstar completely misinformed the amount of people that would take Monday off to play it, they have effectively broke the servers, but if we are still playing on tonight, I will see if I can play still.

If you select play with friends in private lobby from the pause menu, you're able to do that annoying race and them from there you can finally solo play until the servers are working
