Can we all agree that its annoying when your trying to concentrate or doing something else and someone jumps from channel to channel or poking people asking if your interested in a gather come play, thats what the gather gallery is for, can we PLEASE do something about this.

this is a two sided blade.

1. People want to gather and need to advertise it

2. It's annoying and they can piss right off.

To be honest its just a question. A simple no will suffice. Sometimes you really need to fill a spot in a gather quickly or people can start dropping. Spam asking everyone in TS is normally the best way to do this.

I would say it's fine for people to join channels and ask if they want to join a gather however, as mentioned in the news update, there is a way to go about it. Basic manners aren't complicated.

You join a channel and you don't instantly shout 'GADA?!!?!?'; you wait a moment to make sure you aren't flat out interrupting someone speaking in the middle of a conversation and then you politely ask if anyone wants to join. It's not asking the question that's the issue, it's joining and being obnoxiously loud that is the issue.

I agree. That's what this thread should really be about.

You wouldn't interrupt a conversation going on in person as it's just rude. But it's much easier to do in TS since you can't see people talking as such.

Just make sure you know what conversations are going on before you try and start your own.

Surely if your trying to concentrate on something then be in a channel where you are recognised as being busy. As fluxy said its not hard to just say no. If pokes really bother you, you can turn them off in settings so that you wont recieve any notification when poked.

I dont mind getting asked, but after I say no to the first person that asked me, another eight people poke me if I want to join the gather... Even when my name is: "I dont want to join gather ty" people keep poking me -.-"

The problem is that people get poked to death to play a gather. Im ok with it, but some are not. When u are in a gather channel, discuss with each other that only 1 person tries to find people instead of the whole room start a poke war.

That sounds like a good idea, but people prob not gonna listen and just keep poking etc.
