Iszuka™ 10 Posted March 13, 2016 Stablehand My dad worked with horses for a bit. We'd house-sit for the owner of the school/ranch(?) and it was a very interesting place. Made me wonder -along with Hatchgunner- if becoming a farrier is a good idea. I'm still very much tempted to give it a shot. Quote Share this post Link to post

gaffeR 1,380 Posted March 14, 2016 I am a Fire Sprinkler Engineer I got some pics because some people are quite curious as what i do, The pictures are of a "Sprinkler Systems Pump house" which is basically the brains of the system, without it the system wouldn't work. Which wouldn't help considering its to put out fires. So Basically this is how it starts, this is the Architects drawing which basically tell us where to install. And now the installation, So the big valves you see weigh 100kg each! and there is a Diesel pump and an electric pump which you can see there. Initiation Board, for Testing Pumps when sprinkler system is fully installed, which we made today and mounted. This is a very small aspect of my job, but 1 of my favourites. Hatchinthehat 4 Posted March 15, 2016 God i remember that plan I never let go of it really. It still makes me wonder... Tbh it wasn't a bad idea, but it's hard work and a hell of a lot of of time and commitment. I'm always tired from my current trade and horses pull a hell of a lot harder than panels :P. Have you seen most horse riders/stable hands arms?! they are fucking ripped. Quote Share this post Link to post
