Popey456963 17 Posted December 11, 2015 Theoretically, if the 13 A-Name servers were taken down, it wouldn't break the internet... so much as pause it. No new domains could be registered, but all existing domains would still work because we have caching on the sub-DNS servers that actually distribute the IPs for each domain name.
