VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted May 31, 2013 I think some people actually just enjoy the competitive element of sports games. I have no passion for sport, don't much care for it, and even I can still enjoy playing it with friends once a blue-moon. Gratzi on your trial, Setsail. Best of luck man - sure you'll do good. :) Quote Share this post Link to post
Daffy Duck 155 Posted May 31, 2013 Sports games exist for people who want to be good at a sport but can't. So they just get pro in that sport in a video game to feel cool.. I like playing sports games, like NHL and a bit of Wii Sports but I do a lot of cycling for reals. problem? Quote Share this post Link to post
Setsail 0 Posted May 31, 2013 Only sports games I play are racing gamed - guess I should become an f1 driver  Quote Share this post Link to post
Shadow 0 Posted May 31, 2013 You have a point Venga, but there's other games for me that get competitive ( Mario Party / Fighting games ). And no, fighting games aren't necessarily sports games. It all comes down to opinions in the end though. To Daffy: Wii Sports is actually the last sports game I remember playing myself. It's fine if you play them, I was halfly making a joke anyway. I also consider cycling to be a transportation device or a work out, not a sport. Not that cycling isn't fun though. even applications are unsafe from derailing it seems... yesterlv 0 Posted May 31, 2013 For sports games I prefer Fifa over something like NHL which i'd play on a console, for something like a fps i'd choose a pc and not a console, for racing it has to be a console tho. Quote Share this post Link to post
Setsail 0 Posted May 31, 2013 I'd agree with that. Keyboard controls are too binary for subtleties in acceleration. Quote Share this post Link to post
Mork 0 Posted May 31, 2013 even applications are unsafe from derailing it seems... Just end each post with a grats, good luck setsail line and all will be dandy. Sports games offer a fun competitive outlet which people are familiar with (whether it be football players or racing drivers). There is also always the thrill of beating your or your mates best time/score. Not everyone enjoys the play style or the competitive nature of sports/ sports games same with anything :) grats setsail, good luck with your app. Quote Share this post Link to post
