McLovin 4 Posted December 17, 2012 My favourite dog is the old english sheepdog: I used to have this kind of dog it was the dog I got as a present when I was around 6 years old or so. I grew up with that dog and when I was older I whent to dog shows with that dog. He was always second place for his kind some wierd lady always came first place with her dog. But I didnt really spend any time on mine so we never cared. If the dog was happy I was happy. Since he had to go to these shows he was pretty much trained to do all kinds of stuff. Sit, paw, lie, play death and some more. Unfortunately my dog got ill when he was older and was suffering due to this. So we had to sleep him in. These kind of dogs are really loyal and protect the family like crazy since its in their blood. These dogs were used as sheep herding dogs in the past and were there to defend the sheep for wolfes and sometimes even bears. This breed is also one of the only ones where at birth the tail gets cut off. (These days its forbidden.) So yeah the old english sheepdog is my favourite dog. Quote Share this post Link to post

Gaz 13 Posted December 17, 2012 This was my dog, Sam, my favorite dog of all time. He was an Irish Red Setter/Retriever Cross. I got him when I was in primary school. He was a rescue dog from a kennel, and my mum said she picked him because he was so quiet and timid, as opposed to all the other dogs who were barking and jumping up against the cage doors. Had him for over 15 years, he moved around with us, and lived in Spain for 3 years with us. When we first moved there he ran into our balcony sliding door...... Twice. He had a good life and sadly died on the operating table a few years ago when he went in for an operation. Always friendly and loving. Best dog ever Quote Share this post Link to post
