Bump, trying to make a list just so I know what I am getting looking a reviews of all the above items and they all seem to be ok :)

Practice Makes perfect! Start on an easy map, try to be able to strafe before you start, thats a big help. Most of it is getting used to swapping between A and D. If you start on Surf_Beginner you should come alone pretty well, on this map it teaches you to keep your speed on the jumps to be able to finish the stages.

Maybe we could do something like "Surf Sundays" which we could get a ground of people much like a gather and just meet up and we could vote on a map we would all like to play for a short amount time before switching to a new map. I just think it would add a bit of verity to the community. just a suggestion!

That is the most impressive video of surfing I have ever seen, I really like the idea of this thread, to allow people to share a common interest. Personally ive only benn surfing since the end of last year but I always enjoy doing it and after reading some of these comments I really think I fhould surf a lot more then I usually do and I will also have a lot more maps to try out now after your recommendations. I honestly love surfing my favourite map that I have played so far is the Simpsons surf map just because of the atmosphere surrounding you as you casually surf and because of how easy it is :silly1: I hope that I share similarities with people in this thread and I hope that we should do some sort of surfing event on the JB server because I think that will bring out the competitive side in some people and it would be a lot of fun also.
