VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted April 20, 2014 Just an updated version. Conor sent me a draft which I heavily incorporated into this, so a lot of the business area is his thinking. Obviously this isn't 100% in proportion, and is just early rough to get some foundations laid. People: please offer input and shit. Suggest ideas and stuff. Again, thanks Wayne. Map looks stunning from the early bits. :) Train station: spawn for everyone. Business sector: pretty much, the bank and a lot of other stores. I imagine gun-dealers and shiz, unless we can think of some more creative classes which people will actually play. Dock sector: kind of dodgy business. Mechanics and cars too, as there's the space too. The smugglers' hut will suit a biker gang well. Poor area: dodgy shit. Black market dealers here. Drug dealers, if we can work this class in properly. Favela: pure gangs really, and really dodgy people. I imagine thieves will make their homes here, and pay for protection from police. Affluent area: no business I can think of. These guys make money from the bank or from other legit business. They do NOT do dodgy business. If they do, they don't do it here. Beach: play-area/dodgy deals area. The condo will either belong to a banker or some black-arms dealer. Railway: dragraces here. Also, escape routes for whoever. McLovin 4 Posted April 20, 2014 Please don't leave out a Hotel, Running a hotel with rooms is something some people actually do from time to time. Perhaps with beach view? For that extra bit RP. There are also mods that enable food within DarkRP and food is actually needed to stay alive. Now I know you are thinking we have the medic. But this might be worth looking into. Knowing that it would be fun running a food shop. Also for this there should be a sort of restaurant looking building with a counter. (Also for the medic, perhaps an idea to create a small pharmacy shop or something.) Also make sure there is like a Garage building for mech's to fix up all the motorised vehicles. And perhaps connect it to a petrol station. Overall the outlay looks nice, I just hope creating job specified buildings will increase the ammount of Role Play. Quote Share this post Link to post

Also meaby stupid meaby a parking place I mean a big one with 2 floors ( this can also work for pp who wanna do dodgy stuff. But we don't want to overload Wayne (which we probs are already :P ), as map-making does take a long time. McLovin is spot on about food mod stuff. It can help. Gaz 13 Posted April 21, 2014 Hungermod is naturally incorporated into DarkRP, there is also a cook class that is revealed when the mode is turned on. I thought this would be a good way to make people value the money they have, knowing at the end of the day they have to go somewhere to buy food, and make hobos more likely to value pennies dropped when begging. Also RE:rooms and abuildings. We don't want them to be too dictative. I think general building shells and let people decorate and build within them to give them the theme, IE garage or drs or cafe. If we have to many made for purpose buildings, it removes some of the fun in decorating and laying out your own business. Thoughts? Quote Share this post Link to post
McLovin 4 Posted April 21, 2014 Buildings must be noticeble from the outside a bit and a vew tweaks inside although most of the buildings must be just empty space. Although when I mentioned stuff like a garage im talking about a larger building with like 1 or 2 rooms and the main room being a huge work floor. As for a Hotel just a large scaled hotel with like 6 rooms and a main entrance. The pharmacy and the food shop is just shop like looking buildings with like an inbuild counter. Like a deck of cards that keeps on growing, I keep checking the cards and studying them thoroughly. Right now, I'm almost done with the police department and it will come to a stage where we need another test in order to complete it. I almost have an internet connection, still working on that too..
