Summer Festivals

Hey guys!

I've just come back from the Isle of Wight festival which was amazing fun. Saw some amazing artists and loved the whole atmosphere. My Highlight was Blondie, although the Killers and Stone Roses also put on amazing shows.

Basically, this was only my second festival (my first being Creamfields 2008), so I am a bit inexperienced in this field. I have four weeks left before I start my propa job and become a real person, so I am looking to make use of that time. I'm looking for other festivals or last min holidays, anyone got any recommendations? My interests are in Indie, Britpop, 80s and Dance (specifically Trance), also money is not a problem as I originally saved enough to go traveling the world.

I was planning to go to most of them, however, I need to work in july and i'll be studying in august for all my failures on school this year.. So Not sure what i'll do yet.

Yeah OK, I am not allowed to drink, I've never been drunk because I don't think that's possible when you only drink a few glasses of Bucks Fizz once a year.

Global gathering is brilliant. It's just down the road from me, we usually break in and party til we're too fucked to call a taxi home and have to get someone else to do it for us. Check out benicassim if you want sun and shit indie bands, or there's ATP for no camping and good indie bands.

Talk to Oskar about drinking under-age and get back to us. He defs tops my getting fucked at 14 on two bottles of rents' St Emilion and chundering on my way down the stairs.

Both rockwerchter and tommorowland I was keen on but missed out on tickets :(. I agree though Belgium is amazing for festivals.

I'm thinking of going to Creamfields as I now know a few mates who are going. The line up is good also, if armin was there I would've bought tickets a long time ago. Not massively keen on Global seems to have gone somewhat commercial.

Its really cheap (£110) for a four day camping festival; will probably also visit my friend in Amsterdam on the way. I'm going to book a last min holiday for next week, not sure where to go though, probably just be Ibiza
