Quinn 643 Posted January 26, 2013 You don't have to be 16 to play it, to buy it you do though. That is a lie. I bought 18+ games when I was 12. Ratings are there for parents who want to give their kids a valid reason not to play a game. "The government moved to tighten video game content rules following recommendations made by Tanya Byron's Safer Children in a Digital World and Reg Bailey's Letting Children be Children review. Under the regulations, retailers could face a prison sentence of up to six months and a fine of up to £5,000 for selling a game to someone under the age-rating classification". That is not a lie. Fluxy 1,660 Posted January 26, 2013 It is not legal for parents to but it for you, its still illegal. If you go the cinema to see an 18 when your 16 they wont sell you a ticket, even if you parents but it for you. If you go into a bar with your dad and he buys you a pint, you will be chucked out if your under 18. Quote Share this post Link to post
Shadow 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Pretty sure that does not apply in Belgium. Even if it is, nobody gives a fuck about it. Never had problems with it for games. Quote Share this post Link to post
Biggles 44 Posted January 26, 2013 In Britain you have to be over the age of 5 to have a beer as long as it was brought by an adult and is drunk in the pub's garden Quote Share this post Link to post
