Four20 72 Posted June 15, 2016 I've been trying to put 16gb RAM and after fucking it up last time, I figure I'll ask for help. So this is what my MoBo's website says: (The O.C speeds? Is that the CPU O.C'ed? or O.Cing RAM?) This is the current RAM info I have: And this is what I want to put in the PC: I'm 99% sure it should be ok, I just want to double check. Also, If I saved this RAM and wanted to stab another 16GB at a later date, is that a thing? Thanks homies Quote Share this post Link to post
Finnley 565 Posted June 15, 2016 Make sure you use the right slots on your motherboard, I think if your pc works atm you did it right, but it could happen that it doesn't use one of em. That's because the motherboard prioritises slots over others. I think youre fine though if it works already. Quote Share this post Link to post

Gunstar 513 Posted June 15, 2016 You can use this website to check if parts are compatible with each other, just add your motherboard and RAM in and it will do a compatibility check for you.https://uk.pcpartpicker.com Quote Share this post Link to post

M1nt-l0u 1,235 Posted June 16, 2016 There are no "right slots". Just slots that are paired channels which work better. Often you'll have 4 slots, 2 might be blue, 2 might be grey. The colours represent their pairs, if using 2 sticks then match the first slot with the third. If using 4 then go nuts. Quote Share this post Link to post
