gaffeR 1,380 Posted March 9, 2013 I want somewhere to go, where when you land and its not a ridiculous journey to get to the mountain, for example, the place where i ski'd in Bulgaria it was a 5 hour journey from the airport aswell as a 3.5 hour flight and i don't fancy that again. Saying that tho, when i went skiing with school it was a 26 hour journey from Our School to Italy haha. Looking for somewhere in the region of 2 hour flight and an hour transfer from airport, Quote Share this post Link to post

JohnDoe 0 Posted March 9, 2013 No it isn't haha, well the booze, it's because we have a beer here that won world-championship! Haha It is compared to the UK which is expensive anyway. An the alcohol is extortionate; not just the beer (which was nice to be fair but no nicer than English beer) but your disgusting brennivin too... I hope never to drink that shit ever, ever again. Gaffer just go to Tamworth snow dome mate haha I know there's lots of disgusting stuff here, like everywhere. Brennivin is also very very dangerous if you drink much. Note: VERY DANGEROUS Quote Share this post Link to post

Looking for somewhere in the region of 2 hour flight and an hour transfer from airport, Iceland is probably not very fancy or anything, not really huge mountains, but it's nice, only 15m. from the town and to the skii hotel. About 30-45 m. from the airport. You can also go on some of the glaciers too, there's not only mountains to skii on Iceland tho, lots of cool stuff to check out too. EDIT: If you're not landing in my town then it's a 5 hour drive (perhaps 6) from the capital and to my town. You can also rent a guide somewhere and get on the glaciers etc. Quote Share this post Link to post
VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted March 10, 2013 Saw this thread and genuinely thought it meant something completely different. From my friends who ski, apparently Austria and Switzerland are pretty boss. :) Quote Share this post Link to post
