Iszuka™ 10 Posted December 15, 2012 So quite a while back i bought a PSP and a 16GB ProDuo memory card to play PSx games on the go. Things ran their course and it was a good investment. After a while my PSP was put on a shelf and hasn't been used for maybe a couple of years. As you do with older games, i got the urge to get thing back out the box again to play a little. My problem is the 16GB memory card is now only showing 3.01GB of storage capacity. I kept the card in the PSP the whole time, the PSP was switched off. I've googled around and i can't see anyone else with a similar problem. So questions: What the hell happened? Why? Is there a way to reverse it? EDIT:- Oh damn, i thought i'd see what happened when i tried to format it. FAT32 shows 3GB Max, but NTFS shows 15GB. EDIT:- Huh, the format process hung and now i can't see the capacity of the card any more :\ EDIT:- Trawling the internet i've found a couple of free programs that detect everything i want it to. They see that it's a Sony ProDuo 16GB card and it has like 31211 sectors or something. So this might be recoverable. EDIT SOLUTION:- Okay so i determined the header of the drive was corrupt. I used a drive killer program to erase a little of the drive at the start of it. (One pass zero method) Then i formatted like normal. Share this post Link to post
