Skeff 289 Posted February 6, 2015 Everyone loves events, the bigger and more creative the better. We usually end up playing some variation of a death match on a regular JB map. However maps can bring certain features to an event to make it more special. For example we once had a capture the flag event. Image: From the CTF event, Shadow posted this the other day. This thread has a couple of purposes: 1. Gather event ideas. 2. Find out which ideas would require a special map. 3. Find out if that map already exists, to save any mapper time from making something that already exists. 4. Find maps which we may want to edit to suit our needs, for example adding OB banners, placing weapons spawns, changing team spawns, etc. If you suggest an idea please can you quickly check game banana, steam workshop or any other place you may think of for an instance of the idea. In fact many Minigame maps have ideas for a lot of these games. Ideas (for events). - Capture the flag. (will need a map) - Control points. (will mostly need a map) - King of the hill. VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted February 6, 2015 Disagree with the variation on DM thing - I've never done an event without an objective - but I like this idea. Control points would be great, if you could somehow work it so that it being occupied by one team would result in some score going up.
