WayneDwake 0 Posted May 15, 2014 Just a heads up, you can follow my progress on my steam community page as I wont spam the forums with pictures anymore, I'll only be posting major updates and/or discussions. Here's my link http://steamcommunity.com/id/WayneDwake2/screenshots I'll also add it to the first post. Thanks again for all the support, it helps out a great deal. Quote Share this post Link to post
WayneDwake 0 Posted May 17, 2014 Alright, discussion time. Here's what the map looks like right now The last two pictures are the pictures which I would like to discuss with y'all. Now, this is the "ghetto/slum" section of the map, what should go there and what should it look like? (include pictures if you need to visualize your point). I'll keep you posted. Keep me posted. VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted May 17, 2014 Too many trees for a slum imo. Should be more horrible concrete and less green. Just my opinion xoxo ALSO PLEASE SHORTER STAIRS Quote Share this post Link to post
WayneDwake 0 Posted May 17, 2014 We're going to need to have another session where we test/ check out the map. I'll raise this topic in the teamspeak once a sufficient number of us are online. Quote Share this post Link to post
McLovin 4 Posted May 18, 2014 This is Ghetto: In short, almost no trees. Lots of Concrete and broken windows filled up with carbon or metal plates. Lots of Walls of both buildings and just normal walls to define an area filled with cracks and graffity. Houses where some houses are just missing and the area was forsaken (See the last picture.) Hope this helps. Edit: Also important lots of alley ways (Important for dealers roleplay.) Quote Share this post Link to post
WayneDwake 0 Posted May 18, 2014 Well, I guess I owe it to you McLovin, I was under the wrong impression. Thanks for the photos, they did actually clear up a lot of confusion for me, I'll see what I can do to fix it. Also, if we can get this thread ( ) to have more graffiti submissions, that would be great as it would fill up a lot of the empty walls. I guess the line of action that I can take now is either to rename that area or fix it up a bit by cutting down on the trees, adding concrete, more walls and more alleyways Edit: Suburban Slum Area? I was thinking about it, and my conclusion was: It can't be full ghetto, especially not in the inner city where this map is placed. Quote Share this post Link to post
VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted May 18, 2014 McLovin is spot on. Understanding a bit more about Hammer now, I get how awkward a favela full of weird angles would be. But the ghetto is spot on, and doable. Well, as doable as anything is in Hammer, LOL. And ofc we need to have a big chat about this soon! Quote Share this post Link to post
Hish0t 1 Posted May 18, 2014 Take a look at the map favella on csgo also looks like a ghetto map. Quote Share this post Link to post
VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted May 18, 2014 Yes but that would be insanely hard to do in Hammer. :P And there's a lot of map to do anyway. Quote Share this post Link to post
Skeff 289 Posted May 19, 2014 I think broken walls are a good affect too, maybe like an old bank that has a smashed wall would be cool. Quote Share this post Link to post

AdolfJackler 0 Posted May 19, 2014 if we can get this thread ( ) to have more graffiti submissions, that would be great as it would fill up a lot of the empty walls. Bad Wolf - Sorry, I had to suggest that, good ol' Doctor Who reference. Examples: - Also, here's another one that I've got to suggest which would be a bit of rather amusing graffiti xD Quote Share this post Link to post

WayneDwake 0 Posted June 1, 2014 Production paused until next meeting with the Admins. The custom bits could wait till the final stages of the map, right now we need to focus on the map structure. Quote Share this post Link to post
