Fluxy 1,660 Posted January 4, 2013 So I bought Doom 3 in the winter sales, first time i ran it there was a screen that asked for two keys A D3 key that was already filled in the key and an RoE key that was blank, i quit the game and viewed the doom 3 key, it was the exact same thing as what was already in the D3 box. i reloaded it and copied the key into the RoE box so that the same key was in both boxes, this worked and I went on to play the game. I have played the game for around 3 hours now and I loaded it up today to be asked for the cd again, im all like wtf? but fine ill do it again. and it dosent work. everything i did before just results in "RoE key invalid" I have entered it time and time again checking everything was right. help me pe el es its a great game :( Share this post Link to post
The Ost 0 Posted January 4, 2013 This is on steam right? First try validating steam files? Or just conntact steam support: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php They've helped me with similar problems, can be abit slow, but they'll reply. Also a way I've used too fix alot of steam-game related problems is this: Exit Steam entirely. Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\) Rename the "steamapps" folder to "old_steamapps" Re-launch Steam and re-install the game. Once the installation is complete, test the issue. If this resolves the issue, you may copy the new files into the "old_steamapps" folder and rename it to "steamapps" to restore your other games without re-downloading. Share this post Link to post
