  1. Just 'cause I want to relive all those 00's teen movies
  2. Gonna post three from three different artists, because I can...
  3. Leaving the job entirely in the mods' hands isn't a bad idea, it could actually be abit more fair tbh, but by doing so, I think you take the fun out of the original idea, sort of ( not that it's a bad thing) I still believe that, either the members shortlist people and the mods decide, or the mods shortlist people and the members decide, the latter being my favorite option. This prevents people getting nominated, just because they did a MLG 360 NOSCOPE {GONE SEXUAL} ace on jb, but they actually get nominated because they contributed to the community somehow I agree that runners up may get a prize aswell
  4. My only concern is how members would decide what constitutes as a 'good deed'. Members might say "Gibby was nice to me today for a change, I think he deserves a medal and over9000 creds" Where as a mod+ can justify/aknowledge a genuine moment a member has helped the community by say, organising an event maybe, or donating frequently. This is my fear aswell. You can easily avoid this by stating that it's only the mods and above that can nominate people/select people, but I believe you should keep the "community voting on the shortlisted people" part.
  5. I think there would be a more definate answer if it were mods+ who made nominations, and then the communnity voted. I think mod+ would be limiting the competition though, even though limiting it to members+ could work. Again, just my humble opinion.
  6. Okay, so I've been thinking about a final version of the program, thanks for all the input: Monthly member, not weekly. Going to go ahead with the plan Iszuka presented, a shortlist. The shortlist is based on nominations, where members/regulars can nominate other members of the community, and give their reason why. If a member gets a high amount of nominations, or the reasoning behind the nomination is deemed "worthy", they get shortlisted. All this happens during the first three weeks of the month. In the last week of the month, members of the community can vote on the shortlisted players. At the end of the month, the winner is revealed, and receives whatever price the management team has agreed upon. On the same day, the cycle begins anew, and the process is repeated. That's what I've come up with (by getting some helpful input), what do you guys think?
  7. This map is the only one I !afk almost every time it pops up Once again, great analysis Cereal
  8. Yeah, I'm starting to think a comitee selects a couple of people for the first three weeks of the month, then the community has the last week to vote on the selected members The prize could be bumped up from a free reservations and some credits, but again, that is up to the management to decide.
  9. I suppose instead of it just making a single basement lurker in charge of this, you could make a small comitee, whose purpose is to find members people can vote on But then again, if this is the case, I believe a monthly vote is better than a weekly one
  10. Favoritism is also the thing I'm worried about the most. An easy fix would be making a rule that states you cannot vote for the same person x-weeks in a row, bit that sort of ruins the entire point of the contest to begin with? But as far as the reasoning behind the votes, I don't think that would be necessary. A vote is a vote, that's it. Edit: In terms of participants, I think members and regulars can participate, but only fully fledged members can vote, but it all depends on what people think.
  11. Hello peeps, Allen here As you have probably from the title, my suggestion would be a member of the week competition. The way it's supposed to work, is every week, fully fledged members (or might tone it down to regulars to increase activity) can vote on their favorite outbreak member for that week, by sending a PM or just talking to the person in charge of counting votes. I think this will promote a less toxic environment (not that outbreak is toxic to begin with, but you get my point), and a little friendly competition. The person in charge of counting votes cannot win the competition due to obvious corruption issues. The rewards could be something as simple as one-month free reservation on the jb server (or a week, the admins can decide that) or when the store gets re-instated, x-amounts of credits to use. I am unsure if you should implement a rule where you cannot vote for the same guy 10 weeks in a row, this can be discussed aswell. Maybe the voters should provide a reason aswell? That's all for now. - Mikkel
  12. Nice introduction. Welcome to the community.
  13. I've actually been thinking about getting into Old School Runescape again, mostly because it isn't a total shithole like RS3 is.
  14. I once made the unhealthiest snack ever Nutella, some white discount nutella, butter, thin chocolate plates, caramel, fudge, and a thin sliced brownie, all between two pieces of bread, which i toasted to make a sandwich. Horrible but delicious. If I ever get a heart attack, I'm blaming that sandwich.
  15. Another one would be Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012. A game with an awesome soundtrack, insanely fun campaign, and cars that fire weapons at each other? Yes please.
  16. Worst: Breaking my arm on a trampoline in school, it was so bad it actually needed surgery. Best: The day I got invited to a friends' LAN party. It was in like, the 5th grade, but the original group hasn't changed since then (about 8 years now)

  18. At least you weren't born in 2001. Right?
  19. Personally, when I caught all 151 pokemon in the old pokemon yellow game. I mus have been like, 10 or 11 at the time, and spent countless of hours on one damn save file. Unfortunately, I lost the game when I moved a couple of years later What's your story?
  20. Welcome to the forums and the community.
