    Did see the london servers go down 3 times for approx 2-3 hours though. Varies on where people set locations of discord servers etc. Not really seen many issues recently however.

    I've never seen issues last more than half an hour, and the only locations we use are Amsterdam, and London.

    I just have to say that the audio has never been a problem for us.
    There's even a slider now to make audio better or worse than it's currently default.
    Let me give you an example:

    64kbps is the default (which is good audio)
    turning that down to 30kbps is still the same audio, but takes less to use it.
    anything lower than that is getting to the point of bad audio and mobile quality and so forth.

    higher than 64, (highest atm is 96) is when you want to use high-end bots, or really good microphones and such.
     
    So I'm not overly the biggest questioner for audio, but the crashing you mentioned have happened, but it's not a long time, it's literally been about 10 minutes is the longest one that I think I counted?

    Ah. On that note, that isn't actually fully true.
    I've been using it every single day for years now, since my mate first told me about it when we were all using Skype, and I have to say, the only time it really was a problem, was within the first couple weeks of using it due to it being fairly new at the time.

    But at the end of the day, it's all to their own, if TS works best for you, then that's your thing, but I just personally think Discord is pretty much the same, if not better, and just easier to use.

    Also, with your Soundboards comment, that can easily be set up on discord too, we have our own bot that plays games, acts like cleverbot, can play youtube songs/videos and soundcloud, you can have playlists added, and so much more.

     

    Also, hey there :) I wasn't around for the CSS past, but I was around certainly for the Gmod, and I kind of wish you'd have another one set up (presuming you don't already) that was actually the only server I've found on Gmod to be helpful, and have active staff, and more. (I kind of left within the first couple days of the CS:GO server being a thing with Gmod being 'no more')

    Also, for starters it doesn't cost any more because we're on a dedicated server for our gameservers anyway - so that point is out of the window. Furthermore Discord is useful for the likes of guilds and smaller groups, but expanding communities are far easier to manage through TS. Furthermore it is far more adaptable to plugins and has a wider variety of options in configuration and permissions for setting up a structure (like we have).

    TS is older too and more commonly used as well so it opens up for more people, this and Discord has been known to have issues for people from certain areas where it actually causes games to crash (a large group of people I knew from Sweden were having their games crash every time they joined discord).

    Even without all of these points, our community has used TS since 'OB genesis' and so you wouldn't really be able to change people's ways.

    Back to the topic, were you just popping in to say hi or should we expect to see you around on our servers?

    Ah fair enough, well I was just popping in to say hi, but I might come onto the server at some point, just to see how everything is.
    What's the server btw? (IP?, Link?, Game?, Etc?)

    I'm not sure what TS has, but discord probably has it.
    I've used that for months, maybe even years now, to come to think of it.

    I have popped back up because I'm currently applying for moderator of a website which required me to show some experience of previous forums that I had been apart of and such, and I remembered you guys, and I missed you guys, so I thought I'd come say hi :D

    Also, if you're trying to remember who I am, I'm that one guy who used to record videos on the server pretty much all the damn time, also considered for mod at one point (a little birdy told me) when I was recording my "Rule Breakers" videos on the server.

    We are not meant to be playing anything in particular. We are waiting for the gmod map to be finished, then we have a re grand opening oof the server

    I would like to extend my apology for the lack of activity in the OutBreak community, mainly the gaming side of things, when the new Gmod map is out though, I will be certain to be going on that for ages, that's the main thing I'm actually waiting for if I'm honest.
