Veteran - Outbreak members who have been member for two years or more, but have stepped back from membership. As a sign of their loyalty and contribution to the community, they are placed in the Outbreak Veteran rank. Veterans receive full benefits of member.

Member - The members of our community - the life and soul of Outbreak. They have passed their one week trial, and have priority access for events and previews of Outbreak. A member must be active and involved in the community, and their membership is given on a rolling basis. Members make or break the community - they make an atmosphere that is fun and enjoyable to be in, and are expected to represent Outbreak whilst playing.

Moderator - Moderators are part of the Admin Team, and are responsible for keeping the server clean and running smoothly. Listen to them when playing on the server. The lowest level of staff in Outbreak. Moderators have power to administrate the servers, make decisions concerning kicks, mutes, bans and basic issues. They can access, add, remove and edit bans. They have the authority to interpret the rules and make decisions accordingly. They consist of exemplary members who have demonstrated the maturity and integrity for the role. Moderators are expected to run events and work together with all of the admin team to help run the community.

Senior Moderator - They have the authority to interpret the rules, making decisions as they see fit. Moderators who have shown integrity and efficiency and are entrusted with more power, but more responsibility. They have greater immunity, and directly oversee members of the Moderator team. They work to maintain the servers, appoint new moderators, advise on membership and assist with some decisions made by the admin team as a whole.

Admin - Administrators assist the Owner whenever possible and help make community changing decisions as well as run the moderator team. They lead the community in most things, and will make announcements, deal with issues, moderate on disputes or bans, respond to any complaints, and work with the Owner closely to steer the community. Each administrator will oversee some of the senior moderator team in their work, and will be capable of making decisions on their own that must be followed by those underneath them.

Head-Admin - Outbreak's second-in-command, community officer and administration lead. The Head-Admin rank assist the Owner whenever possible and helps make community changing decisions as well as run the mod team. They will help the owner decide who comes and who goes within the Admin team, as well as assist with adding maps and other server-related items.

Owner - The head of the community. The Owner makes decisions for and as Outbreak, and is assisted by the staff as a whole.

  2. Hello Outbreak,

A rather small but important update for you all. As of recently, there have been slight changes to our rule system regarding VAC bans. The changes are as follows:

♦ Anyone seen on the server with his/her last VAC ban under 100 days old will be banned from the server for 3 months.

♦ People with 3 VAC bans on their accounts in total will be permanently banned from the community on all of their accounts.

♦ If you get VAC banned while playing on the server, or VAC banned while being a trusted member of the community, you will be permanently banned.

♦ People with their last VAC ban under 1 year old will not be able to apply for member.

♦ People with a VAC ban under 3 years old will not be able to apply for Moderator. People with 2 VAC bans will never be able to apply for Moderator.

    In other news...

♦ Be sure to check out our rule page if you haven't already or type !rules in game to see them.

♦ Keep an eye out for new store content coming soon!

♦ Keep an eye on the forums for any more incoming updates to the server.

    Thanks,

    Sir Conor

    Owner

Remember that this is no easy task and we will expect good things from you. It's not a nice little sticker to brag to your mates about, it is a service to the community you will be providing. You will not abuse the power given to you. Doing so will result in an instant demotion.

  5. We're sorry to see you've had to come to this section. Please use this template when appealing/requesting a ban or mute. Please give solid evidence (log etc.) if possible, as whilst we do occasionally overturn bans, it's a bit of a red letter day. Make your case as strong as possible. Thanks.

    SteamID:

    Why should he be banned:

    Evidence:

Date of incident (to the best of your knowledge):

    Server Banned From:

Why you believe your ban was unfair/disproportionate:

Do you have any evidence to support your claim?:

    Date of incident:

Please follow the formats correctly or else your thread will just be locked and thrown away.

  6. Please use this template when reporting a staff member for abuse. We take these very seriously so please provide as much information as you possibly can.

    Admin Complaints:

    Admin Name:

    SteamID:

    What did he do:

    Evidence:

    Date of incident:

Please follow the format correctly or else your thread will just be locked and thrown away.

  7. A Testimony is NOT substantial evidence

This means that telling us how many witnesses you have or who can testify to your ban request will not result in a person being banned as it is too easy to just gather a group of people who don't like a certain player to ban them.

Copy and pasted chat will rarely work as it is easy to rework the sentences

    Correct Evidence includes:

    Screenshots

Screenshots are good evidence for reports of racism and abuse but isn't sufficient evidence for much else use steam to take scrrenshots by pressing F12 in-game and then uploading the screenshots to your profile.

    Videos to YouTube

Recording a video through a free game recorder like http://www.fraps.com/ and uploading the footage to YouTube for our viewing pleasure can be a good way to report any rule breakers.

    Demos

A demo has to be the most important reporting tool, it is very easy to do it and you need no software for it

    To record a demo

    1. You must have console enabled in CS:GO, you can enable it by going into: OPTIONS > GAME SETTINGS > ENABLE DEVELOPER CONSOLE = yes

    2. Whilst in a game open the console ( ¬ key next to 1) and type "record (name)" whatever you replace (name) with will be the demo's file name in your steam folder.

    3. If you think you've captured enough in-game footage open console again and type "stop", this will end the demo and save it to your CSGO folder in steam.

    4. Now you have to find the demo file, simply locate your steam folder in My computer/C:/Program files/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter Strike: Global Offensive/csgo. This is where you will locate your recorded demos.

    5. Next you're going to want to upload the demo for us to download I like to use https://www.dropbox.com/ as its free and fast.

    6. Once thats uploaded attach the uploaded file's link to your report and we can then review it by playing it back in counterstrike.

Reporting someone for abuse shown in an argument with someone and yourself the ban times will not be severe as demos can only capture the voice of someone else, this is only the case if we see your microphone constantly popping up in the demo, this could mean you're being abusive back etc.

All credit goes to Biggles for this thread's content. Thread has been remade for CS:GO.

  8. Hey everyone,

Before I announce who have been chosen for Moderator I have something to say.

If you have not been chosen that doesn't automatically mean that you are not good enough to be a Moderator and If want to know why you haven't been chosen I'm more than happy to tell you why in person.

So after long thought and much deliberation, we have chosen 3 new moderators to be put on trial.

In no particular order, the 3 trialists are:

    Unseen

    Eraser

    Simi

Congratulations to the new members of our Admin Team! They will be set on a 2 week trial for mod.

    Thanks,

    Sir_Conor
