Net Neutrality

For any of you that still don't know, today the 12th of july is the day that the battle for net neutrality started. For any of you that do not know what net neutrality is, basically you know how now you are able to use the entire speed of your internet browser in any site and on any internet browsing program, well if net neutrality gets removed, cable companies will have the ability to lower your net speeds for certain sites, kind of like cable TV and charge you money to basically unlock said higher speeds for browsing, also some sites might even become completely blocked off, making it so you have to Pay in order to view them. This is a VERY big problem, and the normal free way of internet surfing we have today might get taken away in the next few days. I personally don't see why companies would do this especially in England where most companies are already competitive so by restricting the internet and having to pay more every month people would just go to a network not doing this?

Funnily enough Kripp was talking about this on his stream today. Back about 7 years ago it was proven the ISP he was with in Toronto was purposely throttling WoW players so they would have to get a faster connection. At the time that was illegal but if this passes then I can imagine this becoming a thing.

I'm personally against net neutrality. Especially if it stops illegal downloading. You wouldn't steal a car, you wouldn't steal a handbag. So why steal a film?
