McLovin 4 Posted April 6, 2014 So after playing the whole event I can say it was the worst event yet, Now I understand saying this to people who put effort into the enjoyment of others is quite harsh although the thruth needs to be told. The preparation was bad no pilots were done and thus the team had no idea how much time it would take each round to even start a round. We ended up playing 5 rounds but it felt like we had played for 30. But the other 25 rounds were just sitting in spawn being frozen. Other then that it was quite bad to see that instead of seeing that it did not go well after 2/3 rounds, they insisted in going on even though the whole event was complaining. In those cases it's best to either change the plan to something quick and steady to keep everyone amused. Or just call it quits. The idea was alright but to complicated. The preparation was bad. The hosting was blurry and there was no real feel of leading. In short, the event was bad and the hosting was not that good either. Next time, try something we have already done before and was a success or seriously test an event out before doing it. Quote Share this post Link to post
VENGA BUS 2,027 Posted April 6, 2014 Cheers for the event. Good concept and some good mechanics. Funnily enough, the 5000 health wasn't too imba. It kind of worked. Binds should always be set out before hand. You should have tags which binds correspond with. And never think that you can wing it on the day. It becomes hellish. :P Gaffer/Weezy and I spent days working on the fucking binds (Gaffer especially) before the Deus Ex Tesco event. It's just horrible work but you need to do it if you want a tech-heavy event. Because of binds and lack of organisational prep in this area, there was a lot of waiting, which led to people getting aggravated/impatient. Waiting is one thing which does wind people up. As McLovin said, preparation makes all the difference, especially with a relatively complicated idea. :) Thanks again mans xoxo addition: Scoring methodology should be explained thoroughly prior to the event Quote Share this post Link to post
