The recession is bearing down on the economy. Consumer spending has dropped. Supermarkets' profits are being hit. One store has cutting-edge research, facilitating unbelievably low-costs, hyper-efficient logistics and innovative market-acquisition strategies: gallant little Aldi. But Aldi's security forces were no match for those of the four supermarkets. With Aldi defenceless, nothing stands between the four great mega-corporations and Pandora's secrets - except for each other. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? Question: Okay supermarket Illuminati space-lizards, great. But how do we play it? Answer: Think VIP meets King of the Hill, with four teams. 1) You kill the opposing CEOs 2) You control the hill to get points, whilst keeping your own CEO alive. 3) If your CEO dies, your team is ka-put. Four teams of five: TEAM TESCO, TEAM WAITROSE, TEAM CO-OP, TEAM ASDA Each team consists of... x1 CEO (or VIP): P228. Full armour. x1 Head of Security: UMP45. No side-arm. x2 Security: M3 shotgun. No side-arm. x1 Assassin: fully invisible. Knife and HE grenade. RULES 1) If a team's CEO dies, that entire team is slain 2) If the hill is contested, no team is awarded points until only one team remains in the hill. 3) No time limit 4) No armoury 5) No medic SCORING 1) 1 point every 15 seconds the hill is occupied by at least one member of a team (excluding assassin). The number of team-mates present does not affect how quickly points are accrued 2) 5 points for killing team's CEO, with added bonus of knocking that team out of the round 3) If the CEO is present in the hill, his team gain 2 points every 15 seconds, not just 1 4) The assassin cannot occupy the hill for points, nor can he contest the hill 5) No points for killing anybody apart from a CEO 6) Team points only. It is presently only one map but depending round-time, this may extend to two, player vote depending. The map is the jailbreak one with the resident-evil laser corridor, and the boxing ring, though. Q/ If the CEO dies does that mean the rest of that team dies? A/ Yes, the rest of the team will be slain as soon as the CEO dies. He's the king on the chess-board. Q/ Is it going to be 4 teams fighting against each other in 1 round. or is it like 2 teams fight then they swap? A/ Yes, it will be four teams fighting against each other in one round. Q/ Is the hill on same spot every round? A/ For the time being, yes. It may seem repetitive, but the maps we pick will allow for a variety of tactical options and fun. Q/ Any restricted areas ( apart from medic / armoury )? A Nope. Q/ Is it allowed to pick up weapons from others? A/ No. Q/ Is the assassins knife+grenade also invisible? A/ The knife isn't because of balance purposes. The grenade isn't due to us having not found a server-side skin which fits this. Q/ Would it possible to be find the map name so people could download it and take a look around? That way people who have played the map prior won't have an advantage. A/ Of course. The map is ba_jail_ob_freedom_final - the link is HERE Q/ Will we get a chance to be every class? A/ No. For reasons of speed, and because becoming familiar with a class allows each player to better play their role, classes will be fixed for the duration for the event, after being initially selected. Q/ What do we get for winning? A/ The winning team will each receive the OB Champ tag. Q/ Where do we spawn or start? A/ You spawn together in the normal cell area as terrorists. We let you out and you find somewhere to start WITH the rest of your team. It can be anywhere outside of the high-lighted red area. TAGS FOR EVENT (Big credits to Gaffer!)
