[UPDATE] New CS:S Update | 16/04/2013

Valve just came up with a new update, basically they change the code of CS:S.

In-game everything looks the same (so far), now as for the reason why I post it here:

It's a clean reinstall, they automatically delete your Counter-Strike: Source folder.

(This includes maps, skins, textures, sprays, models/materials, all the custom files.)

For those who didn't do the update yet it might be good to first copy/paste your custom files (back-up), to spare some time, otherwise you'll have to redownload all custom maps (in other words, all the jailbreak maps, skins, hats, etc). For some it might be usefull to have this fresh install, however those who don't want to lose their files... :s

As for me CS:S loads faster when I start it. ^^"

PS: JAILBREAK SERVER WILL NEED TO BE UPDATED... :s

It took a while to do the update and then when the game finally loaded the OB servers weren't updated so i couldn't play. So last night was annoying

The jb server etc are currently waiting for sourcemod and plugin updates. I was wondering why jb was empty except for me at 10pm last night. My css hadn't updated

it didn't remove anything, it just moved the counter strike source folder into the common section instead of being in your account folder
