Captain Selection? Basically, what process would people prefer for captains being chosen? 1. Role Selection - The current model, where I basically just assign everyone's roles based purely on our opinion on how good someone is. + Captains will in theory be as fair as the queue allows. - Sub par players can get high on leaderboard from backpacking on good captains. - Obviously bias 2. Leaderboard selection - Gives captain priority based on your leaderboard rank. + Completely unbias + Stops people from backpacking - Can lead to ridiculously unfair captains where there is either not enough games played. Example, 1st game of a season Extinct wins with like Pasickle on his team. Then captains could be Extinct v Pasickle in the 2nd game. Which is just a free win. I deleted the old hub, so people will have to join the new hub. Few things still need to be sorted, but people actually need to be in the hub for it to happen. General requirements will be - - ~2 years in this community and be a member. - Some short of recording software - Shadowplay for instance. - The ability to be unbias. - Active player Powers - Banning players(with some discussion), able to manage live games for example cancelling games where it is needed(see in rules) and inviting players to the hub. Unbans? -For ANY unbans, some evidence HAS to be shown. Without any, unbans will not be considered. In some cases, people will recieve the benefit of the doubt first time around. However, repeat offences will result in bans being longer. On Rules that are too broad to cover -Admins are allowed to give bans as they see fit. Depending on the situation, bans will be modified after they have been discussed with the rest of the admin team. Continuous arguing with members of staff can lead to an extension on already existing bans. VAC -If a player has a VAC in the past 365 days you will be immediately banned and blacklisted from the hub. -Playing on alts of a VAC banned account will also be banned. -Players with very low hours (for example players with 15 hours and 0 friends) will be treated suspicous and bans possible. -Refusing to obey these rules can result in bans from gathers. Additional Rules Players must only have one active account on the hub. Smurfs/Alt accounts could ruin the competitive integrity of games.

Some people you might consider randoms, but they were regulars in the old hubs and have become decently acquainted with some members. Covered above, said straight out bans are gonna be far harsher early on to ensure no shittery. Agreed, as said above. Plan on being far harsher. The general requirement would be at least known by a few OB members. We ARE doing this. People seemed to think this was controversial when really the majority of players favoured it. The requirement would probably start of at level 5/6 or even 7, only exceptions made for people who are CLEARLY better than the requirement and stats will be monitored and etc. Yeah, to be frank that hub was made to specifically avoid certain people in the hub. We didn't want to start kicking members of OB from the hub, but at some point we got sick and we had a private hub for a little bit. When there was some OB members in queue who were so bad, people would actually refuse to queue. Kinda sucks but that's the way it's always been with gathers, we're arseholes cause we wanna play some competitive games. Yeah, one of the requirements that will be in place for any Mods of the hub would be the ability to have shadow play or it's equivalents. Also, there's been many argument over what constitutes toxicity. We're not 12 year old girls, no one's getting banned for swearing or asking questions. We all know when someone takes it too far. When it genuinely becomes a disturbance to the game that's where punishments are rolling in. It won't be "Three strikes", cause it's kinda retarded. However, bans like in the previous hub do have a staggering effect which will graduate into permanent bans.
