  1. Also Senior Mod role has been retired because of our currently smaller team, with that both Frostie and Kai have been promoted up to Admin role. With the Server if there is anything you'd like to be throw up to try and test it out we'll try to accommodate but it gonna require support from the community specially if you want get it up fast. P.S Wist mentioned this to be before thought I'd bring it up but if something goes missing of the forums such as the legend at the bottom and it's not added please ASK about it or just mention to me so actually give you an explanation. I didn't even know the legend wasn't there as it was meant to be...
  2. This is for the Community VOIP Server Vote, If you've not already been on our Test discord server I'd suggest you try it out Link Here There is also have a thread with all Important Information for our Discord. Click here for Voting Form
  3. The Plan going forward: OB Server's Try to throw up a server a month for different game and try out game we haven't done before. Try simpler server ideas that don't require much set up to get up and running. Community Game Nights Try out doing organised game nights. Although this would need to be helped by Members with either suggested or help organising. So our current plan is about trying out new things and should something develop into OB's next big thing capitalise on it. Not everything we try out we may like or may even work for us but we can at least say we've tried it out. Financially OB total costs have been lowered significantly, should we end up moving to discord we'll only have to pay for Website Stuff, should we stay on Teamspeak we'll look for funding from our community maybe integrating a donation panel on the side of the forums where everyone can see what we need for our monthly costs. I'd say most people stay with OB because they enjoy the regulars that our on most nights, you can just join TS play some games with friends or just chill and talk shit for hours. So long as our community is inclusive and welcomes anyone it gives people reason to stay and get to know each other. We'll try out new things as we go along maybe that we can make special in our OB way.
  4. Just created a Discord thread for all important information and rules should get an idea on most of the stuff we have on it if you haven't been on it yet. Next we'll be doing a vote to pick which VOIP we end up going to which should be coming some time next week. Want to do it after the next Minecraft Update, since the next update Aquatic is meant to add a ton of so should be interesting to try it out together. Probably August if there interest in people playing. Yeah when CSGO 2 comes out. No idea, need to ask Kai who gone on holiday. It may have been cancelled given that only about 5 people signed up thought I'm not 100% sure. Probably if we ever find a weird game that works for us to actually make a server on it though its finding that something special. At the same time at the moment were a Gaming Community where people come on to play various of other games whatever peaks our interests which I honestly don't really mind too much, I've been playing ton's of borderlands with Cheesy recently gonna play Pre sequel on Monday if anyone wants to join. Becoming a Tit... Twitch Streamer, have donation perks like access to Private Instagram and Snapchat after that you'll get loads of money for better Internets. When you post as "Crybaby Mintlou" It's genuinely makes me want to do the opposite. Landing page needs to be fixed, as people suggested if you just go straight to forums everything will load quicker. We going to Chester on Sunday then? xoxo
  5. Outbreak Discord Rules Welcome to Outbreak Community! Our Discord has rules you must follow too, not abiding by them will get you kicked. Repeat offenders will receive harsh punishments. New players are joining our Discord every day and we would like to make it as welcoming as possible. Absolutely no abuse. Targeted abuse/bullying will not be tolerated, especially over ethnicity, sex and belief. No racism whatsoever. Racist words, names, descriptions or avatars are punishable. No spamming chat, microphones or mentions. No screamers or dodgy links of any kind which may contain harmful material. No spamming soundboards in public channels. Soundboards are allowed in private channels. Gather rooms do not count. No ban evading by joining with a different alias, using a VPN, or using another device to connect to Discord. Do not join private channels unless you are invited. Ask someone in the channel before joining, do not join first and then ask if you can stay. Private channels include: Mix rooms, Fortnite rooms, and Battleground rooms. No spoilers of any kind unless you are in a room where everyone agrees to discuss. Please be observant of new people joining the channel when talking. Do not encourage others to break any of the rules. Do not impersonate any other Discord users. This includes regulars. Staff are allowed to kick people from the server if they are using someone else's alias. Do not attempt to loophole any rules, this could result in a ban or an extension on already existing bans. Use #support-channel appropriately. Staff members have the final say on situations, any constant arguing with staff members over their decisions can result in an extended ban. These are very simple rules to follow. New players bear in mind that our Discord is a very 'free' place, you can talk about what you want whenever you want as long as you abide by the above! But most importantly, enjoy yourself. Important Information On Discord, starting from the top, we have 2 Text Channels: #announcements for announcements, it also has a copy of the Discord Rules and then the #support-channel which is where you can leave messages for the admin team such as reporting someone or if you need to be added to a Role you can post your request there. After that we have a Category for all of our chat rooms, we currently have 5 Public Channels #general, #media, #csgo, #moba and #bot-commands which by their names should be self explanatory if you need any guidance just look at the channel topic. We have have a few private channel depending on what role you have e.g. Members get access to a Members+ Chat. Outbreak Server Bot (Full CMD List Here) For all commands with this Bot start with a . for example .xp or .wheel 1. XP System and discipline As explained in "Leveling" you will earn xp for typing in Discord text channels, this is not to be abused to boost you level, if you are found to be boosting your xp by spamming in chats then your will be reset back to level 1 and be restricted from gaining xp for a short period. If you require a role update (ie; Member, Donator, VIP) then please only post once in the support channel and a member of staff will give you your required role when he/she is online. Currency Currency is used through discord as a mini-game currency for users to be able to use our built in games to go head-to-head for each others currency or to gamble it away for the chance to earn more! The currency will also act as a points system with a leaderboard where everyone can check to see who is the richest player on Discord. .timely - Gives the user credits every 24 hours. .$ - Shows the user's credit balance. Fun Games/cmds I Am Commands .iam [csgather/lolgather] - Adds the user to a group showing that they want to play a CS:GO or League of Legends gather. .iamn [csgather/lolgather] - Removes the user from the group once they have been added. Being added to these groups also allows the user to see and type in a CSGO or League of Legends gather text channel so they can talk with other people who want to play gathers. Rhythm (Full CMD List Here) For all commands with this Bot start with a ! for example !play, This bot should be used when in NG1 Nightclub. To make Discord easier whenever you join a voice channel you will be added to a role to view an text channel for the channel you are currently in, only people who are in the voice channel can see the text channel. The text history of these channels will also not stick around in the chat, this is essentially like Teamspeak where people are not able to see chat messages before they have joined the channel. It has also been set up so normal Admin role does not see your chat. We recommend that you bot the following channels #bot-commands and #logs
  6. Firstly Kai doesn't have unlimited reactions... Maximum number of reactions allowed to give per day: New Users - 0 (These are brand new accounts) Regulars - 3 (New Users are promoted to this after 4 posts) Donators - 10 VIP - 13 Members - 15 Wardens - 18 Moderators - 20 Senior Moderators - 30 Rather than reactions that do nothing but giving people a notification, What about a tiered system say Positive Reactions +3 The more Neutral Reactions a +1/2 and the Negative ones +1. I would like to try out and bringing back negative reactions with a -1 but should they be abused again... and the Roaming gangs of people negative reactions just because they dislike the person it would be removed quite soon. Thoughts?
  7. Isn't that what you pretty much did? You posted your bit but left out the fact that out of the 3 mods that replied, 2 had detailed posts that disagreed with it on most of the points kinda misses most of the context. You said senior staff members didn't even reply to that thread, which is true, but you left out that I had spoken to you in your 1on1 about it which I gave my personal reasons on it, being that I felt for the most part Kai and Cheesepuff had already summed up everything for me and that I didn't want to say "x is not happening"/"y is not getting added" I wanted to see who replied and what they thought and anything else would be discussed in an admin meeting which it was... It was even agreed that some of the things we discussed were to be added e.g. approving content/posts and view warning points. During the meeting it was said that there isn't much content that is actually reported, maybe a couple of posts a month. But from that point on, mods were to report any content they thought was necessary so we could get an actual idea of how mods can help out on the forums or if it was actually even needed. If it was, then we add it in the future.
  8. Actually from Discord its "The limit cap is 5,000 online concurrent users atm"
  9. No not currently, gonna try without see if it works for at least the start.
  10. I didn't give feedback on this particular topic as I wanted to see all the moderators who would actually reply and give feedback and for the most part Kai and Cheesepuff had already summed up everything for me. Anything else I wanted to discuss on in I waiting for the admin meeting where we went over it although beforehand in your 1on1 I discussed this with you... Also if I just promoted my friends I would of promoted cheesepuff ages go, I've discussed with you during your 1on1 What improvements I wanted to see from you but you stepped down beforehand. When you were mod you never once said you wanted to do x server or else you would've been given server tech access to do something.
  11. Overhaul it costs about an extra £20 per month to have a Dedicated server as it hosts everything (TS, Gameserver/s and the Website) rather than the alternative of having a separated TS Server, 1 Single Gameserver and Website. The total Donations throughout 2017 only covers 5 months and everything past that was paid by myself, the possible "wasted" money as you say was my own but as I was still receiving DDOS notifications emails a couple of times a month was worth it for me, having the protection from any and all DDOS attack and the freedom to have a dedicated event server while if had paid seperately each month for this server would have costed more than the Dedi. In May we opened Minigames to try and get people back into CSGO custom servers doing something fun while additionally throughout the summer I tried to get as many Tournaments. After the summer in September because we didn't have any dedicated sustainable server, I created up the Warden system to try and get anyone that wanted to actually help and create a server could, which only 2 people every actually applied. One of those ideas we tried out, we created BR Server in November however there was still a lot of people asking about Jailbreak we decided the next focus would be a Jailbreak server. I focused on this and spent a lot of time trying to refresh it a bit more for players that had already spent a lot of time on Jailbreak and mix things up a bit more for them. It released over the winter period which was fun and interesting yet still having that nostalgic feel for the first couple of months but by third month most interested dried while PUBG really started to take off in the community (Before it got cucked by fortnight ?) So many people say they want to help but when it comes down to actually devoting time to anything it's usually only ever 1 or 2 people that end up being reliable, Hell... still awaiting a response for suggestions for Outbreaks 6th Birthday event ? I've tried to get feedback on what servers you actually want to see from but for the most part people are playing games that just don't need a server. But in the end it is up to you if you don't want to not try something or not, I do Hope you do try out though but in the end can't force you.
  12. The Discord Trial plan. Finish setting up channels and permissions (This should be done very soon) Alpha testing (This should start in the weekend) I'll create a sign up for this if you want to help out with this. (If you've previously used Discord it'll be helpful) This will be to fix any bugs or issues that may arisen and try and iron out any kinks. Once everything is checked to be working as it should, we'll review any suggestions that alpha testers may have. Beta Testing (We would like everyone to at least try it out with an open mind) This will be an open test for everyone to try Discord for Outbreak. We will be listing for feedback during this week, making changes/fix/updates as it goes along. This should last around for around a week. Review and Final decision A form will be created where we'll get feedback and what your preference of VOIP service would be. Following feedback should it be decided that discord is not for us, funds would be needed to be raised for a 1 Year's rental of a Teamspeak Server. With a quick google search prices can range from around £150-£250 for 1 years rental with 100 slots. Probably missed something but that's it for now, if you've got any question just ask and I'll try to answer them. ?
  13. Will give an update later with the estimated timeline and the overhaul plan.
  14. @Jak Isn't Mintlou right and the sound quality been updated? It moved to Opus 1.2 in January have you tested recently, I'm not an audiophile as much as you would definitely be, have you tested recently? voice and text channels are separate - I really dislike this as well but I've already been looking at a discord bot that should remedy this so that when you join a voice channel it gives to read and send access to the associative text channel. permanent stream - There's a permission to disable reading message history, which from a quick test it works the same way Teamspeak does. You can read messages that you were there from but nothing else and when you leave the channel you can't read or send messages which were sent after you left. So we could do this for most of the channels to have an associate Text Channel and then have some separate text channel our just for a Global chatting. We can also set Prune X amount of messages. I didn't respond to you straight away Jak because I wanted to actually test and check the above beforehand.
  15. I asked Discord info to get passed onto to give you guys a heads up before any official announcement... So glad about that... As mentioned all away back in March Update we've been investigating changing our host as *throughout 2017 to Present, donations have only been able to pay half our server costs and the rest has been paid by me up until now* (less than half now) and as everything has is currently hosted on the Dedi when it goes down everything will. It'll end up being like it was 2012 era with separated hosting for the website and anything else. So as multiple people have asked for Discord throughout the multiple threads over the past year or so, Why not try it out during to Hosting transition period then after a week or so getting feedback to what people think, whether people like it or whether there need to be improvements or you prefer to return to Teamspeak. Should it be the latter and people want to return to Teamspeak, then Outbreak would need to be able to fund it. So whether everyone who can chip in does and we do it that way. And maybe we add some extra privileges on TS for those people (Though not sure what we'd add but for reference Pay4admin won't happen) Personally for me, Discord has both positives and negatives and I'd like to at least say we've tried it out.
  16. Please do not disclose information that may pertain to informants. Thank you ?
  17. Shame was thinking about it getting but if it's only on Windows Store, Big NT ??
  18. @Kai ur welcome, p.s didn't need so many reports guys
  19. @Danny Sooo... What has actually changed now after the original change and OB Drama?
  20. @Kai @Danny When is your next game anyway?
  21. Scrune's their "Coach" and Resident Streamer.
  22. As mentioned in the latest update post, we'll be doing a vote for the next server that we're going to be doing. The first being a Competitive styled CSGO server and Second something different, that isn't on CSGO. For the second server, it may not work out and we may also end up changing it later down the line but it should be something completely different that we've not really tried before and will be interesting to try out. We'll be doing a vote via Google form where you shall select the server then give a reason for your choice, please put as much reason to your choice as you can. Click HERE
